Product Description 
The product is a commercial-grade highly reliable database 10 times faster than traditional disk databases. GBase 8m/Altibase is oriented to high concurrency and transaction-intensive business scenarios, meeting customers’ needs for high-performance in-memory databases to realize high-speed data processing. GBase 8m/Altibase meets the international SQL92 Complete Level 1 (highest level) standard, which is a fully normalized relational database. In terms of application development and use, GBase 8m/Altibase is exactly the same as traditional Oracle, DB2 and other relational databases in terms of concept, features, and use. However, in terms of internal design and implementation of software, GBase 8m/Altibase uses the memory as the storage medium; revolutionary redesign and optimization for in-memory data management was conducted, which has significantly improved the service processing speed, and the performances are more than 10 times higher than traditional disk databases (Oracle, DB2, etc.).

3. Copy
The critical service system cannot be interrupted at any time. Service interruptions caused by operating system failures, database system failures or hardware failures (such as disk corruption) can bring users considerable economic losses, and the company's credibility will fall. GBase 8m/Altibase adopts the dual machine copy technology, to provide a perfect solution to this problem, and fully ensure the system's high availability.
GBase 8m/Altibase adopts the log-based copy technology, which can be summarized as follows: to establish a copy relationship between GBase 8m/Altibase database A and database B. the applications access database A to update the service data, and server A sends real-time copy log (XLOG) to database B. Database B receives XLOG, and execute analysis, and then have the updated content reflected in its own database.
The real-time copy function of GBase 8m/Altibase provides high availability and fault tolerance for the system. More than 90% of GBase 8m/Altibase users are using the copy function.

Product Architecture
GBase 8m/Altibase memory database supports multiple connections:
Local connection: You can use IPC and UnixDomain to get connected to GBase 8m/Altibase database, and achieve better performance.
Remote connection: You can use TCP / IP to get connected to GBase 8m/Altibase database, to achieve better scalability and flexibility.
Applications can access the database through E/SQL, CLI, ODBC, JDBC and other standard ways, to meet the different needs for application development.
The data files, Log Anchor, and Log Files of GBase 8m/Altibase database are stored on the physical disk. At startup, GBase 8m/Altibase will load all the data from the disk into the space of the memory table, carry out in-memory data organization, management and transaction processing, and have the updated data flushed to the disk, to protect the security and reliability of the data.
