1 Project Overview

  • Project Background

The intelligent reporting platform is an important information system of Qilu Bank. Under the guidance of China's financial IT innovation policy and the dual requirements of industry digital transformation, Qilu Bank has proactively completed the full-stack domestic replacement of the intelligent reporting platform. Full-stack domestic replacement has been achieved across servers, chips, operating systems, databases, applications, and other aspects. The upgraded reporting platform operates on a single-track basis, and the platform system has been running stably for several months since its launch in November 2022.

The original data of Qilu Bank's intelligent reporting platform used an Oracle database,Smart BI reporting system. With the growth of business data volume, typical requirements for analytical scenarios, domestic replacement requirements, users expect a domestic database that can effectively support analytical scenarios and is compatible with Smart BI applications.

Qilu Bank's intelligent reporting platform requires powerful data analysis and presentation capabilities to provide the bank with one-stop, platform-based business intelligence services. The platform can connect to business databases and big data platforms for data processing, analysis and mining, and visual presentation;meeting various data analysis application requirements.

The main application scenario of this system is report development, enabling visual large-screen displays, mobile cockpit applications, and self-service data analysis through report development.

Visual large screen:By using spreadsheets and self-service dashboards, visual large-screen information dashboards can be custom-developed for display on PCs, commercial displays, and video walls, enabling rapid interpretation of the business information and development trends behind the data through charts and trend information.

Mobile applications:By custom-developing mobile reports and configuring mobile access, access anytime and anywhere is enabled.

Self-service analysis:Business personnel can use data within the system or local data, define data indicators through the system, and perform data analysis queries and analysis, quickly enabling regular and ad hoc data analysis.

The application system needs to be migrated and transformed for domestic-platform databases, and upstream and downstream adaptation work needs to be completed. The product has no single-node bottleneck, data replicas, and built-in disaster recovery and backup capabilities;it complies with national mandatory security requirements.

2 Solution

The database implementation for Qilu Bank's intelligent reporting platform uses two database products, GBase 8a MPP Cluster and GBase 8s, completing a comprehensive replacement of the original Oracle database. This meets users' dual OLTP+OLAP scenario requirements.

GBase 8a MPP Cluster is a high-performance domestic database product independently developed by GBase for massive data query and analysis applications. It is used to meet the growing data storage, management, and processing requirements for data querying, statistics, analysis, mining, backup, and more in data-intensive industries, and can serve as the underlying database for data warehouse systems, BI systems, and decision support systems.

GBase 8s is a transaction-oriented database independently developed by GBase. It offers high security and complies with the national Level 4 security database standard;it provides strong consistency and meets financial-grade ACID transaction strong consistency requirements;it delivers financial-grade high availability, supporting shared storage in the same data center (SSC), primary-standby high-availability disaster recovery (HAC), remote disaster recovery high availability (RHAC), failover within seconds, and 99.999% availability.

Through on-site service assurance, GBase actively supported relevant work including environment setup, table structure and data migration, and business system go-live and cutover assurance, promoting the stable and rapid launch of the system.

3 Application Results and Value

Secure and controllable:Core systems all use domestic database products with fully independent intellectual property rights, featuring independent R&D and security and controllability, comprehensively improving the data security and business security of the bank's existing data.
