GBase Knowledge Base Supports "Dual Carbon" and Wins "Best Paper Award of Excellence" at 2021 Electric Power Industry Informatization Annual Conference
From October 22 to 25, 2021, the 2021 Electric Power Industry Informatization Annual Conference was held in Taiyuan. GBase's paper "Research on Knowledge Base-Based Energy Consumption Optimization Platform Technology for Manufacturing" won the "Best Paper Award of Excellence" at the conference and was invited to deliver a presentation at a sub-forum. The paper will be published in the core journal Telecommunications Science (ISSN:1000-0801/CN 11-2103/TN).
Themed "Driving Industry Digital and Intelligent Transformation, Empowering the Construction of New Power Systems," this annual conference deeply implemented the "Dual Carbon" goals, focused on the development direction of the industry in the digital era, and paid attention to the development of enterprises in digital transformation, industrial chain construction, and ecosystem cultivation.
China's manufacturing industry holds the largest economic share among all sectors and involves enormous scale. It is of practical significance for enterprises to gradually achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality through digital technology. The paper "Research on Knowledge Base-Based Energy Consumption Optimization Platform Technology for Manufacturing" was primarily authored by GBase experts Yang Weiwei and Zheng Guide. Taking automobile manufacturing as an example, it proposes a solution for energy consumption optimization based on a knowledge base, including an analysis of energy consumption characteristics in manufacturing, key technologies for energy consumption optimization, and presentation of application effects. The paper focuses on enterprise equipment, identifies patterns affecting energy consumption through production execution information and equipment operating status, builds a knowledge base, and realizes energy consumption optimization using machine learning algorithms such as neural networks and association analysis.
In the energy and power sector, GBase is also supporting their green digital development. The built State Grid Dispatch Cloud Platform uses GBase's transactional database GBase 8s and, through a remote disaster recovery solution spanning thousands of kilometers, achieves second-level data synchronization for local and remote read-write separation active-active clusters. It supports switchover within one minute of a failure, and the product's stability, high performance, and high availability exceed expectations in supporting core business operations.
In the energy and petrochemical sector, Sinopec Intelligent Oil and Gas Field Big Data Platform uses GBase's distributed analytical database GBase 8a and transactional database GBase 8s, providing a parallel massive complex data processing platform that forms a single view of business data at the PB level and delivers timely and efficient data analysis results. It has completed loading and management of over 600 TB of business data, with routine queries on massive data returning results in seconds. It replaces foreign and open-source data storage and computing platforms, enhancing energy security protection capabilities, and achieves unified management and access to three major categories and six types of business data, including data traceability, data lineage management, and unified external services.
Going forward, GBase will continue to strengthen extensive cooperation with all sectors of society, solidify its foundation in key core technologies, provide better digital database solutions for energy consumption optimization, and offer strong technical support for the realization of national carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.
