To build an exchange and cooperation platform for the IT Application Innovation industry and promote its in-depth development, globally renowned data analysis firm iiMedia Research held the 'iiMedia New Economy Forum (Session 3) & 2022 China IT Application Innovation Industry Fist Award Ceremony' in Guangzhou on May 26. GBASE won the 'Best Database Brand' award.

Facing the complex international landscape and the trends of the digital economy, the IT Application Innovation (Xinchuang) initiative, as a key measure for China to promote technological self-reliance, aims to build a secure and controllable IT system and an open and win-win information industry ecosystem. The 14th Five-Year Plan Outline explicitly sets the goals for constructing a security system in the information sector and replacing foreign technologies with domestic alternatives, noting that 'by 2035, China will see a dramatic rise in its scientific and technological capabilities, achieve major breakthroughs in core technologies in key fields, and rank among the most innovative nations.' Driven by strong policy support and the demand for digital transformation, the IT Application Innovation industry is thriving in key sectors such as government, finance, and telecommunications.

According to data from iiMedia Research, the scale of China's IT Application Innovation industry surpassed one trillion yuan in 2020, reaching 1,375.88 billion yuan in 2021, and is expected to maintain rapid growth. With joint efforts from governments and enterprises, the industry's scale will continue to expand, unleashing unprecedented market vitality. GBASE will shoulder the mission of building a strong tech nation, foster an IT application innovation ecosystem, and build a product system that is independent, controllable, secure, and reliable.

Databases, as a shining jewel in China's foundational software sector, play an irreplaceable core role in the information age. Since its inception, GBASE has consistently adhered to independent innovation, with independently controllable core technologies and underlying code. The self-developed GBase database series deeply cooperates with domestic chips such as Phytium, Hygon, Kunpeng, Loongson, and Sunway, as well as other foundational hardware and software vendors. Tailored to China's needs, GBASE builds IT solutions based on domestic architectures to further drive digital transformation.

GBASE closely aligns with user needs. Its core database products, including the distributed analytical data management system GBase 8a, the shared-storage database cluster GBase 8s, and the distributed transactional database system GBase 8c, have been deployed at scale in critical sectors such as finance, telecommunications, government, and security. Serving users in 34 countries and all 32 provincial-level administrative regions in China, it has built over 30,000 nodes and manages a total data volume exceeding 300 petabytes.

The construction and development of the IT Application Innovation industry relies on policy guidance, technological innovation, and the collective efforts of the industrial and ecosystem chains. Building a complete domestic upstream and downstream ecosystem is the necessary path for the industry to achieve security, controllability, and full autonomy. GBASE will leverage its product technology and competitive edge in key markets, joining hands with partners to contribute to the growth of the IT Application Innovation industry.
