8. “In the spring of 1979, an elder drew a circle on the southern coast of China...”

Around 2009, a database expert also “drew a circle” at GBASE, leading a team to develop GBase 8a... He is Dr. Wu Xin, CTO of GBASE. Here, you can interact one-on-one with Dr. Wu.

Dr. Wu Xin earned his Ph.D. from the University of Orléans and the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS).

He has 20 years of in-depth experience in research, application, and development of Oracle, the world’s leading database. Before returning to China, he worked for Oracle France for 11 years, once serving as the Principal Technical Support Expert.

Dr. Wu has led the R&D and implementation of numerous large-scale database application projects, and spearheaded the design and development of the GBase 8a columnar storage database, GBase 8a MPP distributed database, GBase UP big data integration platform, and other products.
