Recently, the '2023 Digital Finance Innovation Forum and the First Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Financial Innovation Outstanding Application Cases Award Ceremony' hosted by the Financial Professional Committee of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation Promotion Association was successfully held in Guangzhou. The 'Bank of Guangzhou - IFRS9 New Financial Instruments Standard Impairment and Valuation System Project' supported by GBase won the First Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Financial Innovation Outstanding Application Case.

The forum, themed 'Innovation Empowers Finance, Transformation Drives Development', featured three sub-forums: Financial IT Application Innovation, Information Security and Data Management, and Regulatory Compliance and Intelligent Risk Control. It also had an IT application innovation exhibition area, equipment exhibition area, and the First Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Financial Innovation Outstanding Application Cases exhibition area. Over 500 guests from financial regulatory agencies, commercial banks, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area financial systems, telecom operators, large enterprises, and financial service providers attended.

At the ceremony, after multiple rounds of review and selection, the 'Bank of Guangzhou - IFRS9 New Financial Instruments Standard Impairment and Valuation System Project' supported by GBase was honored as an Outstanding Application Case, and GBase was officially awarded as an Outstanding Application Case Unit.

The award-winning project is primarily designed to help users meet impairment and valuation requirements under the new financial instruments standard. The project adopts a full-stack IT application innovation architecture, using Kylin OS + Kunpeng CPU + GBase 8a database. In this completely homegrown environment, performance surpasses that of the original x86 architecture.

At the database level, GBase 8a MPP Cluster replaced the original Oracle database. With three nodes handling 20 TB of data, the system processes 500 transactions per second stably with 200 users and 30 concurrent connections. End-of-day batch processing takes 2 hours. A complex multi-table join query returning 11,623,837 rows takes only 20 seconds. Overall, system performance has improved by 85% compared to the original system. This solution was also selected for the second edition of the 'Financial IT Application Innovation Excellent Solutions' catalog published by the People's Bank of China's Financial Electronics Institute.

GBase has always focused on deep cultivation of core database technologies, paying attention to user needs and market demands, and providing more mature, stable, and comprehensive database products and solutions. The GBase series of databases have been deployed at scale in multiple financial sub-sectors, including financial regulatory agencies, banks, insurance, and securities, empowering fintech development with data. In the future, GBase will continue to uphold the philosophy of 'striving to be the most trusted database product supplier', deeply serving industry users in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and across China, and achieving the integrated development of digital transformation and IT application innovation.
