Building a Digital Artery for a New Era of Digital Intelligence | GBase Debuts at PT Expo China

From June 4 to 6, the 31st PT Expo China (China International Information and Communication Exhibition), hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Under the theme of “Building a Digital Artery for a New Era of Digital Intelligence,” this year’s PT Expo showcased major achievements in key core technology R&D, broadband network construction, digital industrialization, and industrial digital transformation in the global ICT sector.GBase, the most widely deployed Chinese database vendor in the telecom industry, was invited to exhibit and received the “Most Popular Brand Award.”

PT Expo China (the China International Information and Communication Exhibition), founded in 1990 and hosted by MIIT, has been committed to creating a national authoritative exhibition platform that integrates “display, exchange, cooperation, and sharing” for the ICT industry, continuously delivering “Best of China” solutions to the world.

At the expo, GBase was honored with the “Most Popular Brand Award” by PT Expo China for its large-scale and stable deployment of database products in the telecom industry.

The GBase database product line, known for its stability, high performance, security, and independent innovation, attracted numerous telecom users and partners across the IT application innovation (Xinchuang) ecosystem for in-depth discussions.

Today, GBase databases have served over 100 telecom users, including China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom, establishing GBase as an independent database provider with large-scale deployments in the telecom sector. In China Mobile’s Centralized Business Intelligence Deep Analysis Cloud System, GBase provides multi-tenancy capabilities, delivering services as a resource pool. Provincial subsidiaries are managed as tenants with unified oversight, enabling centralized data aggregation and integration. The system offers high scalability, supporting dynamic cluster expansion with linear performance gains as nodes increase: over 3,000 nodes have been deployed, managing more than 30 petabytes of data—all with low investment and high efficiency. Fully independent R&D ensures the product is Chinese-developed and controllable, aligning with the de-IOE trend (reducing reliance on IBM, Oracle, and EMC). Through its hybrid architecture of distributed computing/storage and Hadoop + MPP, it effectively supports joint management of massive structured and unstructured data.

GBase is deployed in a cumulative total of over 52 provincial-level operator networks across China’s three major telecom carriers. Specifically, it covers 29+ provincial subsidiaries of China Mobile, 15+ of China Unicom, and 8+ of China Telecom. Looking ahead, GBase will continue to focus on R&D of Chinese database products, leveraging its technical strengths and increasing investment to enhance controllability, trustworthiness, efficiency, and security. GBase aims to empower digital transformation across all industries through communication technology and drive China into a new era of digital intelligence.
