GBASE Financial IT Innovation Solution Showcase · Office System Solution

Published on 2023-06-15

To promote the efficient and orderly implementation of financial IT innovation, and to continuously provide the financial industry with replicable reference guides and demonstrations, since November 2021, the Financial IT Innovation Ecosystem Laboratory (hereinafter referred to as the “Laboratory”) has organized the first and second rounds of selection for financial IT innovation solutions. Several GBASE solutions stood out and were recognized as “Outstanding Financial IT Innovation Solutions,” gaining widespread attention and recognition.

For this purpose, the Laboratory has launched a special column on outstanding financial IT innovation solutions to showcase these achievements. Now, let’s explore GBASE’s outstanding solutions!

Office System Solution

Solution Overview

This solution is designed for medium and large enterprises, integrating collaborative work, real-time communication, information publishing, document management, resource management, administrative office functions, business processes, and information integration. It provides management with various decision-making reference data, and offers employees a unified platform for office work and communication, driving the digital transformation of internal management in the financial industry.

Key Challenges Addressed

(1) Database Compatibility. Compatibility challenges include compatibility of table structures, views, stored procedures, and SQL syntax. During database or system design, the selection and design of data distribution keys must be considered.

(2) New System Architecture Re-engineering. The original system design must be modified, including data distribution and task reorganization to adapt to the new architecture. Business data is re-planned to meet the system requirements for computing efficiency, improved horizontal scalability, high availability, and incremental data synchronization in active-active clusters.

(3) New System Business Verification. Adopting a ‘totality then detail’ principle, data auditing and business verification are performed on the new system’s outputs. First, the total data volume is verified; when the total is correct, data distribution across each dimension is queried. For scenarios involving large data volumes that are difficult to verify—such as intermediate and final datasets generated by processing—results from both the existing and new systems are directly loaded into the database for full comparison, and query statements are used to directly compare differences between datasets.

Typical Case: OA Project of a Provincial Rural Credit Cooperative

This case utilized Phytium chips, the Kylin operating system, GBASE database, TongTech middleware, Huawei centralized storage, and Seeyon collaborative office system, achieving effective business integration. It enabled data integration, process integration, and business integration; achieved cross-department, cross-time, and cross-region business process collaboration; provided sound, quantitative analysis and decision-making, and enabled real-time mobile office feedback and support, achieving unified collaborative resource management.

Financial IT Innovation Ecosystem Laboratory

The Financial IT Innovation Ecosystem Laboratory (hereinafter referred to as the “Laboratory”) is a key infrastructure and specialized experimentation platform dedicated to financial IT innovation, established under the leadership of the People’s Bank of China, led by China Financial Electronics Group Co., Ltd., with cooperation from key financial institutions and industry organizations, and participation from industry, academia, research, and application entities. It adheres to the principles of “joint discussion, joint development, mutual benefit, and sharing.”

The Laboratory adheres to goal-oriented and problem-oriented approaches, brings together diverse resources, and formulates solutions to common challenges in financial IT innovation. Since the launch of the solution initiative, the Laboratory has collected over a thousand solutions, building a case library and providing financial institutions with referable, replicable, and scalable guides and demonstrations.

The Laboratory will soon launch the third round of financial IT innovation solution solicitation. We welcome more organizations to actively participate, to present and promote more and better solutions, empowering the financial industry’s IT innovation and digital transformation, and contributing wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of the financial sector and scientific and technological self-reliance.
