To promote the efficient and orderly implementation of financial IT application innovation (ITAI) and provide the financial industry with replicable, reference-ready guidelines and demonstrations, the Financial ITAI Ecosystem Laboratory (hereinafter referred to as “the Laboratory”) has organized the first and second rounds of Financial ITAI Solution selection since November 2021. Multiple solutions from GBASE stood out and were recognized as “Excellent Financial ITAI Solutions,” gaining widespread attention and recognition.

To this end, the Laboratory has launched a special column on Excellent Financial ITAI Solutions to showcase outstanding achievements. Now, let’s explore GBASE’s excellent solutions together.

Cross-Platform Software Solution

Solution Overview

This solution is built on GBASE databases and Hengyin Technology’s CIS cross-platform software, integrating ATMC, ATMP, and ATMV for bank self-service devices. Developed based on PISA/LFS standards, it can be applied to self-service devices with different technology stacks. The backend system uses a unified Java development platform and Spring Cloud microservices for integrated development and deployment; the database adopts GBASE, enabling data sharing and service linkage.

The ATMC supports both C/S and B/S deployment modes. ATMP efficiently consolidates self-service device transaction channels, and ATMV provides end-to-end management of self-service device hardware and software to enable “monitoring, management, and operations.”

Key Challenges Addressed

(1) Unified business logic development. Supports synchronous development of desktop and mobile applications.

(2) Reduced development complexity. Provides an online development platform that enables component-based visual configuration of business processes.

(3) Unified hardware invocation layer interface. Encapsulates a middleware interface specification based on JSON-formatted Websockt calls, achieving a uniform hardware invocation layer.

(4) Multi-database support. Uses the open-source Mybatis-plus persistence framework, compatible with GBase 8s series databases, and supports extensions to various databases.

(5) High-concurrency processing. Leverages the Netty high-performance networking framework and RabbitMQ message middleware to process terminal message transmission, solving the low performance issue on a single server.

Typical Case: Cross-Platform Project at a City Commercial Bank

In this case, the self-service devices use ARM-based Phytium FT-2000/4 CPUs, Kylin V10 operating system, GBASE GBase 8s V8.7, and TongWeb 7.0 middleware, with cross-platform software following the LFS protocol. ATMC is deployed in C/S mode, and ATMP and ATMV are deployed in an integrated manner. Nearly 60 business functions and optimizations were completed. The system runs stably overall; financial terminals with different technology stacks can connect simultaneously, with performance comparable to existing smart devices.

Typical Case: Cross-Platform Project at a Rural Credit Cooperative

In this case, the self-service devices follow two technology stacks: ARM-based Phytium FT-2000/4 with Kylin V10 OS, and Phytium FT-2000/4 with UOS V20 OS. They use GBase 8s V8.7 database, TongWeb 7.0 middleware, and cross-platform software compliant with the PISA 2.0 protocol. ATMC is deployed in C/S mode, and ATMP and ATMV are integrated. The first batch launched 100 smart terminals running the cross-platform software, and ATMV completed database adaptation and data migration to GBASE.

Financial IT Application Innovation Ecosystem Laboratory

The Financial IT Application Innovation Ecosystem Laboratory (hereinafter referred to as “the Laboratory”) was established to implement the national innovation-driven development strategy. Led by the People’s Bank of China and initiated by China Financial Electronics Group Co., Ltd., it brings together key financial institutions and industry organizations, with participation from enterprises, universities, research institutes, and users in the financial ITAI ecosystem. Adhering to the principles of “joint consultation, joint development, win-win outcomes, and shared benefits,” it serves as a critical infrastructure and specialized experimental platform dedicated to financial IT application innovation.

The Laboratory is goal- and problem-oriented, pooling diverse resources to solve common challenges in financial ITAI and develop shared solutions. Since the launch of solution collection, the Laboratory has gathered over a thousand solutions, building a case library to provide referenceable, replicable, and scalable guidance and demonstrations for financial institutions.

The Laboratory will soon launch the third round of Financial ITAI Solution solicitation.
