GBASE wins another award! "Innovative Competitiveness Product Award" at the China International Digital and Software Services Fair.

From July 6 to 9, the 2023 China International Digital and Software Services Fair (hereinafter referred to as "CIDSF") was held in Dalian. Hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and the Liaoning Provincial Government, and organized by the Dalian Municipal Government and the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, the event gathered over 500 renowned domestic and international digital and software companies.

As the only national-level exhibition in China's software industry approved by the State Council, CIDSF is the highest-level, largest, and most internationally influential annual IT event in the country. Under the theme "Digital Innovation and Integrated Development," this year's fair showcased China's high-quality achievements in the digital economy through exhibitions, conferences, forums, and result announcements.

The award-winning distributed logical data warehouse GBase 8a MPP Cluster is a core product independently developed by GBASE and is the industry's first columnar database. Based on the Shared-Nothing architecture, it is designed for big data analytics applications and can serve as the underlying database for data warehouse systems, BI systems, and decision support systems.

Digital Innovation: First Columnar Storage, Full of Honors

For domestic transactional databases in OLTP scenarios, we have always been catching up due to the first-mover advantage of foreign products.

However, with the most frequent data interactions and the richest application scenarios, could columnar databases for OLAP represent a new opportunity for China to "overtake on a different track"?
