Market Win | GBase Database Wins Bid for a City Commercial Bank in Fujian
The massively parallel distributed database GBase 8a MPP Cluster has successfully won the bid for the IT application innovation OLAP database procurement project of a city commercial bank in Fujian.
The bank currently relies primarily on Oracle for its OLAP databases, which cannot adequately support its growing big data analytics needs. Major issues include bottlenecks in massive data storage, slow query performance, and lengthy batch processing times. To ensure regulatory reporting quality while meeting the bank’s internal data analysis requirements, it plans to start with the anti-money laundering system, retail business management platform, and corporate business management platform. Building on existing foundational models, the bank will expand applications such as business indicator analysis, marketing analysis, and risk analysis. By introducing a next-generation OLAP database, it aims to further unlock data value and deepen data-driven applications.
Once the project goes live, it is expected to effectively resolve the performance bottlenecks of the current OLAP database, meet the analytical demands posed by future data growth, seamlessly integrate various data analysis applications running on GBase, and provide stable, reliable support for the analysis and querying of massive volumes of data.
