GBase Attends the 38th CCF National Conference on Computer Applications
From July 16 to 19, 2023, the 38th CCF National Conference on Computer Applications (CCF NCCA 2023) was held in Suzhou, Jiangsu. GBase, as an annual partner, was invited to attend. The conference invited several renowned academicians, experts, scholars, and enterprise representatives from the computer industry to conduct high-level academic discussions and industrial exchanges, jointly drive technological innovation and development, explore new prospects for economic and social applications, and seize new opportunities in the information age.
At the Data Element Marketization Sub-forum, Zhao Wei, Senior Vice President of GBase, delivered a keynote speech titled "Ensuring Secure and Efficient Data Element Flow with Emerging Technologies in Self-Developed and Controllable Domestic Foundational Software", sharing with attendees innovative practices of self-developed and controllable domestic software based on GBase databases to ensure the secure and efficient flow of data elements.
Zhao Wei noted: Data elements have the dual attributes of resources and assets, serving as infrastructure for national digital transformation. As the global political and economic landscape becomes more complex, the "national boundaries" of the information technology industry chain are becoming increasingly apparent: a few countries or enterprises use the IT industry as a tool to exert pressure in politics, military, and economy to gain competitive advantages.
Therefore, he emphasized that only by establishing a self-developed and controllable domestic foundational software and hardware system can the supply chain security of data element marketization infrastructure be ensured. An increasing number of Chinese enterprises and developers have achieved significant breakthroughs in the foundational software field. Currently, domestic foundational software represented by GBase databases is already capable of guaranteeing the overall supply chain security of information systems. The widespread application of GBase databases in projects such as the headquarters data warehouse of Agricultural Bank of China, the centralized big data analysis cloud of China Mobile headquarters, and the AFC systems in the rail transit industry has fully demonstrated GBase's massive data management capabilities, high performance, and high availability.
Zhao Wei pointed out that the development of foundational software such as domestic databases provides strong technical support for ensuring the secure and efficient flow of data elements, including key technologies such as lakehouse, stream loading, storage-compute separation, and multi-cloud and hybrid cloud deployment. These emerging technologies aim to improve data processing efficiency, reduce costs, and meet the requirements of low latency, high availability, and high scalability for data applications, providing a robust guarantee for the secure and efficient flow of data elements in the digital economy era.
At the end of his speech, Zhao Wei shared two proposals with the attendees:
Ensure supply chain security of data element flow through self-developed and controllable domestic software and hardware
Ensure high efficiency of data element flow through emerging domestic data management technologies
