Digital Intelligence Leading, IT Innovation Strengthening | GBase Partners with Kingstar to Enhance Financial Risk Control and Compliance
On July 13, the "Digital Intelligence Leading, IT Innovation Strengthening" 2023 Financial Risk, Compliance, and Audit Industry Summit, hosted by Shanghai Kingstar Software Technology Co., Ltd., was held in Guiyang. The summit drew significant attention from the Shanghai Stock Exchange and financial institutions, gathering nearly 500 industry leaders, risk management experts, technology gurus, and securities firm representatives.
Mr. Ding Mingfeng, Chairman of GBase (General Data Technology Co., Ltd.), was invited to attend the conference and delivered a keynote speech at the main forum titled China's Database Development Strategy in the Era of De-globalization.
Technological iteration and advancement are the core driving forces behind economic growth and industrial upgrading. Looking at modern social history, the rapid development of information and communication technologies has enabled humanity to leap from the PC Internet to the mobile Internet and into the AIGC era. In the new era, the marginal benefits of technological progress are gradually diminishing, global economic growth is slowing, and focusing on China's internal economic cycle has become mainstream, giving rise to IT Application Innovation.
During his speech, Mr. Ding briefly reviewed the evolution and development of China's IT Application Innovation industry. Drawing on years of practical experience and deep thinking in this field, he shared two key insights:
China's IT Application Innovation requires the database industry, as the infrastructure for data element management, to achieve self-reliance and controllability.
The two major opportunities of "cloud computing" and "digital industrialization" are driving data element management to become a cornerstone of social development.
Specifically in the database field, a single database is no longer capable of solving all problems; each application scenario requires dedicated database products to support it. Against this backdrop, Mr. Ding shared GBase's development strategy: focusing on core database technologies and providing scenario-specific database solutions.
Regarding the future evolution of database technology, Mr. Ding proposed that it will continue to iterate around three major goals—helping users reduce costs and increase efficiency, safeguarding the secure flow of data elements, and empowering new business scenarios—across twelve specific technology directions.
At the end of his speech, Mr. Ding highlighted the significant achievements of GBase and Kingstar in supporting the compliance and risk control operations of major financial institutions. In areas such as anti-money laundering monitoring, analysis and management, intelligent compliance and risk control, and comprehensive risk management systems, both parties have joined forces and collaborated closely. GBase deployed multiple database nodes to form a GBase 8a database cluster, which was adapted to Kingstar's general-purpose foundational framework. After both sides' technical experts leveraged their strengths and refined the integration, a solution was formed. Nearly 30 complex stored procedures of anti-money laundering modules, multiple custom functions and views, and almost 200 tables were migrated. Test results showed that, under equivalent workload pressure, performance was 3 times faster than that of a leading international mainstream database.
During the summit, Dr. Jiang Ruiqian, Dean of Kingstar Research Institute, also highlighted GBase as a typical partner case, introducing the in-depth collaboration between the two companies and how their combined ecosystem provides comprehensive support for customers with IT Application Innovation solutions.
At the on-site demonstration area, GBase showcased its newly launched innovative database products and financial IT Application Innovation solutions, which attracted significant attention from the attending guests.
Digital intelligence leads the way, and IT innovation strengthens the foundation. Looking ahead, GBase will continue to deepen its cooperation with Kingstar, leveraging a "data + technology" dual engine to inject intelligence and empower financial users' compliance and risk control.
