[GBASE Training] South China Playbook | Final Season of the GBase Database Boot Camp
Since the launch of the updated GBase GDCA certification training course in May this year, it has been warmly welcomed by our ecosystem partners and users, with over 6,000 participants trained. As 2021 draws to a close, we are hosting the final session of the year: “GBase 8a Database Boot Camp – South China Special Training.” This is a tailored, fully free 8a Cluster certification training for industry customers in South China. Since the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed the “National Big Data Strategy,” the country has successively issued policy documents such as the “Outline for Promoting the Development of Big Data” and the “Big Data Industry Development Plan (2016-2020),” leveraging big data to empower enterprise economic transformation and upgrade, and to support the construction of a Digital China. The 14th Five-Year Plan outline even devotes an entire chapter to “accelerating digital development and building a Digital China,” making it imperative to develop a digital economy where data is a key factor of production.
As China’s localization drive progresses steadily, the quality of database products—one of the three foundational software pillars—continues to improve. General Data Technology (GBASE), as the earliest pioneer of data warehousing in China, introduced GBase 8a MPP Cluster (hereinafter referred to as the 8a Cluster), which has become the most successful database product in the OLAP field. Those who pass the exam will receive a free electronic certificate for the GBase Certified Database Associate (GDCA) certification, and top performers will have the chance to obtain a free printed certificate. Product Introduction
The 8a Cluster is an independently developed, industry-leading, massively parallel processing database cluster from General Data Technology. It has been widely deployed in finance, telecommunications, government, defense, and enterprise sectors. The 8a Cluster now serves as a robust foundation for data warehousing and decision support systems. Nearly 90% of General Data Technology product users report that the product offers superior performance and comprehensive features. Its positive market reception is driving growing demand for in-depth learning.
Course Introduction
This course starts from the basics of the 8a Cluster product and explains the principles and fundamental usage of the 8a Cluster database. The course is divided into two phases: learning and examination—12 days of study, two unit quizzes, and two certification exam attempts. The entire course is delivered through an online learning platform, with a structured, step-by-step approach that makes it easy to master the fundamentals of domestic database technology.
Learning Objectives:
Help participants understand the working principles, functional features, and deployment strategies of the 8a Cluster, and establish a basic understanding of MPP architecture for databases;
Enable participants to master the installation, management, and maintenance of the 8a Cluster database, and to troubleshoot common cluster status abnormalities;
Enable participants to perform data operations on a single virtual cluster database, including CRUD operations, user permission management and assignment, and viewing system tables.
