High Performance and Reliability: GBase Database Powers High-Availability Upgrade of Identity Authentication System for a Leading State-Owned Energy Enterprise
Amidst the global energy transition and digitalization wave, the digital transformation and information security of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) are critical. Recently, GBASE partnered with a leading state-owned energy enterprise to help it complete the domestic database replacement of its digital identity authentication platform. Leveraging the GBase database, it built a secure, efficient, and self-controllable core identity data foundation, robustly supporting its vast global organization and high-concurrency business access.
This leading energy SOE, as the world’s largest photovoltaic power generation enterprise, has 130,000 employees and operations across 47 countries and regions, shouldering the vital mission of ensuring national energy security. To achieve self-reliance in critical information infrastructure and in response to the national IT Application Innovation (Xinchuang) strategy, the group decided to comprehensively replace its digital identity authentication platform with domestic technology, aiming to build a more secure and reliable technology base capable of supporting massive identity authentication and high-concurrency access.
Core Solution: GBase Database Builds a Fully Domestic High-Availability Cluster
The project adopted the GBase secure database management system to build a high-availability database cluster based on a fully domestic technology stack (Hygon CPU + Kylin OS + GBase database). This solution hosts four core business modules — Unified Identity Authentication (IAM), Unified Privilege Management (BPC), Risk Detection System (RDS), and Login System (Elogon) — achieving seamless adaptation from hardware to software within a fully indigenous innovation environment.
Implementation Results: Smooth Migration with Enhanced Performance and Reliability
Full-Stack, All-Domestic, Smooth and Worry-Free: GBase database is deeply compatible with the domestic foundational software and hardware ecosystem, ensuring stable operation and smooth migration of complex systems in an indigenous innovation environment.
High Availability Supporting High Concurrency: The system successfully supported high-concurrency identity authentication and privilege verification requests from over 100,000 employees and various terminals of this energy SOE worldwide, ensuring business continuity and superior access experience.
Performance Optimization and Efficiency Gains: Compared to the original system, GBase database delivered better data processing and query response, providing an efficient and reliable data core for the group’s unified identity governance and risk control.
The successful replacement of the digital identity authentication platform for this leading energy SOE is a prime example of GBase database enabling fully domestic deployment and high-concurrency support in the mission-critical systems of mega-scale enterprises. Moving forward, GBASE will continue to leverage its solid, cutting-edge data technologies to help more state-owned enterprises and key industries build a secure foundation for digital transformation, empowering global and intelligent business growth.
