4 Years Running, 4 Projects Selected! GBase Database Honored as a Galaxy Case, Proving Its Real-World Strength Once Again!
Recently, the "2025 Data Asset Management Conference" hosted by the China Communications Standards Association was grandly held in Beijing. GBase received multiple recognitions at the conference: the project submitted with CITIC Trust was selected as a Database Typical Case, and three projects jointly submitted with Beijing Mobile, Jilin Mobile, and Jiangsu Mobile were selected as Potential Cases, making it the fourth consecutive year that GBase has been selected for the Big Data "Galaxy" Case; at the same time, the company was named an "Outstanding Member Unit of 2025" for its continuous contributions to the industry.
Typical Case
CITIC Trust's Enterprise Data Platform Innovation Practice Based on GBase Database
Leveraging GBase 8a MPP Cluster Database, CITIC Trust, a leader in China's trust industry, successfully built a lakehouse-based enterprise data platform. This solution precisely addresses its core challenges around data silos, inconsistent quality, and high data consumption costs. By providing a unified data foundation, GBase enables efficient centralized management and reuse of enterprise-wide data. This not only reshaped its data cost structure but also powerfully propelled the business transformation from experience-driven to data-driven, delivering a solid and agile data backbone for operational management and informed decision-making.
Potential Cases
Innovative Practice of a Big Data Platform Based on Lakehouse Architecture
Independent Innovation Practice of Telecom Business Systems Based on GBase Database
Distributed Database Application Innovation Practice Built on Jiangsu Mobile's Core Network Management System
Distributed Database Application Innovation Practice Built on Jiangsu Mobile's Core Network Management System
To enhance the self-reliance and controllability of its core systems and meet rapid business growth, Jiangsu Mobile adopted the GBase distributed database to successfully replace legacy systems within its vast and complex network management system with a Chinese-developed solution. The project accomplished the smooth migration of over a dozen core business modules, including service orchestration and intelligent O&M, covering tens of terabytes of data. GBase's multi-engine support and full encryption security capabilities not only meet the stringent demands of mixed OLTP/OLAP workloads and data security, but its horizontally scalable distributed architecture also lays a solid foundation for future business growth, accumulating valuable experience for localized system innovation in the industry.
Independent Innovation Practice of Telecom Business Systems Based on GBase Database
Under the group's joint innovation framework, Jilin Mobile initiated a comprehensive replacement of its telecom business support systems with locally-developed alternatives based on the GBase database. Faced with numerous systems and complex logic, the project successfully achieved the replacement target across more than 100 databases. The solution runs on cost-effective PC servers, significantly reducing both software and hardware procurement costs. Meanwhile, the high-availability disaster recovery solution provided by GBase effectively enhanced the continuity and reliability of core services, achieving the dual goals of independent controllability, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement.
Innovative Practice of a Big Data Platform Based on Lakehouse Architecture
To tackle the challenges of data redundancy and complex governance in traditional big data platforms, Beijing Mobile built a lakehouse-based big data platform on the GBase database. This architecture integrates multiple data engines to achieve unified data planning and management. Compared to the previous solution, performance in structured, large-scale analytical scenarios improved by orders of magnitude, while real-time sharing of a single copy of data substantially reduces storage and maintenance costs. A unified access interface also greatly enhanced platform usability, powerfully supporting province-wide business analysis, real-time marketing, and other data value realization services.
This selection as a "Galaxy" Case is yet another industry validation of the value and proven results of the GBase database. Also at this conference, GBase was recognized as an "Outstanding Member Unit of 2025" for its continuous contributions to big data technology standards and industry practices, fully demonstrating its key role in fostering industry development standards and technological innovation convergence.
GBase has been leading China's analytical database market for many years, with significant results and widespread application in the big data field. This renewed inclusion in the Big Data "Galaxy" Case will inspire GBase to continue deepening its presence in the big data domain, strengthen technological innovation to solidify its digital and intelligent foundation, and contribute to the vigorous development and widespread adoption of the big data industry.
