The GBASE Training Center will hold the "May 2025 GBase 8s Database Certification Training" on May 8. This training is designed to help you quickly master the secure database management system GBase 8s. Enthusiasts of China-developed databases are welcome to sign up!!

Product Introduction

GBase 8s is a database product independently developed by GBASE (General Data Technology Co., Ltd.) with full intellectual property rights. It is a B2-level (equivalent to international EAL4) secure database that supports China's national cryptographic algorithms. It supports mainstream development interfaces such as SQL99/2003, ODBC, JDBC, ADO.NET, GCI (OCI/OCCI), and Python. Its SQL is widely compatible with Oracle syntax, maximizing the reuse of developers’ existing database experience. It features a complete China ecosystem with deep adaptation to Chinese operating systems, middleware, and CPU chips. It supports shared-storage clusters and high-availability deployment with a two-site, three-center architecture.

GBase 8s is ideal for OLTP scenarios, including core business systems in finance and telecommunications, and information systems in security-sensitive sectors such as government and Party affairs, and national defense that demand high information security. It delivers 24/7 uninterrupted processing capabilities.

Course Introduction

This course starts from zero and covers GBase 8s database principles, installation and deployment, management and maintenance, and basic SQL syntax. Learning objectives: to be able to quickly deploy a standalone GBase 8s instance on Linux, master basic operations such as database management, data import/export, and backup and recovery, and understand stored procedure coding.

Training Plan

The entire program is divided into two phases: learning and certification exams—13 days of learning (including a mock exam) and two opportunities to take the certification exam. Through daily learning reminders in the group, downloadable training materials, and technical Q&A from professional instructors, participants can master the basic skills of GBase 8s database operation step by step.

Testimonials from Previous Trainees

Project Manager at Shandong Mobile System: The GBase 8s training is truly a feast of knowledge. The curriculum is well-arranged, rich, and compact; the learning atmosphere in the bootcamp is friendly and active; and the materials, including videos, blogs, and documentation, are practical and easy to understand. New video courses are unlocked daily with appropriate duration, and convenient directory links are provided in the WeChat group. You can make full use of your spare time to learn. The instructor explains everything clearly and thoroughly, from basic principles to practical operations. Moreover, in the training WeChat group, the GBASE instructors and fellow participants are enthusiastic and actively answer questions for everyone in a timely manner. At the same time, the accompanying hands-on GBase 8s exercise documents are closely aligned with real-world scenarios. Practicing from start to finish is definitely an excellent way to get started.

IT Product Manager at Jiangsu Mobile: The instructor's lectures are like a lavish feast, beautifully presented in the training sessions. Truly, 'a word with the wise is worth ten years of study.' The instructor unreservedly shared his experience with everyone, explaining profound concepts in simple terms – absolutely brilliant.

Development Engineer at a Bank Software Center: This course lasted 13 days. As complete beginners, we learned the principles, installation and deployment, management and operations, and basic SQL development of GBase 8s through online courses. Thanks to these courses, we can now grasp basic GBase 8s operations such as installation and deployment, management and maintenance, data import/export, and backup. The instructor also demonstrated operations and explained in great detail. I feel the course is very practical and valuable. Meanwhile, the instructor also shared the courseware in HTML format, allowing us to review alongside the materials. Even after class, we can review at any time. The whole course left me feeling greatly benefited, and I hope to continue learning other GBase knowledge.

Data Architect at Jiangsu Tax Service: This training was organized as an online bootcamp, which was extremely convenient. Not only was the training free, but they also provided a cloud environment for hands-on practice. What surprised me most was how detailed the instructors' explanations were – they really got to the core of every topic. The instructors were also very patient and responded to our questions in the group promptly. Many thanks to the teachers and to all fellow participants who shared their problems during the learning process.

Teacher at the Information College of a Vocational School: I come from a school where we only deal with foreign databases, and I always felt something was missing. Through this training, I discovered that China-developed databases are by no means inferior; they actually align better with Chinese usage habits and are worth promoting. We could consider offering a course on China-developed databases at our school, to cultivate and influence students, gradually promoting the use of such databases and fostering their wider development.

Architect at a Hubei Archive Technology Company: Thanks to the free GBase training opportunity, I gained a whole new understanding of GBASE's products. This training covered a lot of content; I spent a few days studying intensively. The videos were very useful, and I applied most of the content in my tests. The SQL compatibility is excellent – apart from some specific syntax, it is largely compatible with common database products. Through trying, I migrated a previous project to the GBase database, and it felt quite simple. One thing worth mentioning is that the training is free, while comparable training from other vendors could cost thousands. I think this is very considerate, showing that GBASE is building a direct ecosystem rather than just chasing money. I believe that products made by such a conscientious company will surely be excellent.
