Product Introduction

GBase 8a MPP Cluster (hereinafter referred to as "GBase 8a Cluster") is an independently developed, industry-leading massive parallel processing database cluster from General Data Technology (GBase), also known as a distributed logical data warehouse. It meets the growing demands for data analysis, data mining, data backup, and ad hoc queries across data-intensive industries. The GBase 8a Cluster has supported over 200 large enterprise customers both in China and globally. In China, it underpins critical business systems such as the core data warehouse of Agricultural Bank of China, the big data platform of Bank of China, the enterprise-wide business analytics data warehouse of State Grid Corporation of China, the centralized business analysis data warehouse of China Mobile Group, as well as the big data platforms across more than 20 provincial branches of China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom. Overseas, the GBase 8a Cluster has been deployed in over 30 countries, including the United States, Russia, Germany, Mexico, and Pakistan. Course Introduction

This course series starts from the basics of the GBase 8a Cluster, covering the fundamental principles, operation and maintenance, and SQL syntax of the GBase 8a Cluster database. The entire program is divided into two stages: learning and examination, including 10 days of study, two mock exam opportunities, and two certification exam attempts. Through online self-study, online tutoring, and online exams, combining theory with hands-on practice, you can progressively and easily master the basics of the database.

Learning Objectives:

  • Help students understand the working principles, functional features, and deployment strategies of the GBase 8a Cluster, establishing basic concepts of database MPP architecture.

  • Enable students to install, manage, and maintain the GBase 8a Cluster database, and troubleshoot common cluster anomalies.

  • Enable students to perform data operations on a single virtual cluster database, including adding, deleting, modifying, and querying table data, managing and assigning user permissions, and querying system tables.
