Data Foundation Empowering Telecommunications | GBASE at the 2026 International Information and Communication Exhibition
Recently, the 2026 China International Information and Communication Exhibition opened at the China National Convention Center in Beijing.
GBASE (General Data Technology Co., Ltd.) showcased its GBase database product series and received the 2026 PTEXPO "Most Popular Brand Award," demonstrating the strength of a domestic data foundation in the era of "strong networks, thriving compute" through over two decades of large-scale telecommunications industry deployments.
This year's exhibition focused on five major segments: information infrastructure, frontier technology innovation, digital-intelligence integration applications, digital social governance, and intelligent hardware terminals. It covered key areas including 10-gigabit optical networks and intelligent computing centers, 6G and quantum information, and AI and the industrial internet. Several research reports and industry standards were also released during the event, including the Token Economy Development Research Report.
The digital economy is currently at a critical stage of deep development. Information and communication technology, as the core infrastructure of the digital economy, continues to drive transformative progress across all industries. Notably, databases — as the core foundational platform for information systems — are responsible for storing and managing data, a critical production factor, and directly influence the speed, scale, and efficiency of digital economy development.
Two Honors, One Milestone: Over Two Decades of Deep Commitment
At this year's exhibition, GBASE earned broad recognition from industry and users alike for its high-quality data products, comprehensive technical services, and strong reputation — receiving the "Most Popular Brand Award" at the China International Information and Communication Exhibition.
This recognition reflects GBASE's sustained commitment to the telecommunications operator sector. Today, GBase database is deployed across more than 60 group headquarters and provincial subsidiaries of operators including China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom, supporting business systems across the B-domain (business), O-domain (operations), and M-domain (management). From making calls, signing up for services, and ordering plans to service activation, GBase database powers the data services behind the entire customer journey. China Mobile alone has deployed over 8,000 nodes managing more than 100 PB of data.
In addition, the "Wutong Big Data Platform Intelligent Operations Practice," jointly submitted by China Mobile Information Technology Co., Ltd. and GBASE, was selected for a Second-Class Award in the China Communications Enterprise Association's "ICT China (2026) Cases." On this big data platform — hosting over 70,000 servers across nine national resource pools — GBase 8a supports core operations including provincial B&O domains, deep analytics cloud, and B-domain data emergency assurance cloud, with over 60 clusters deployed. Through unified cluster version alignment and intelligent slow SQL optimization, the two parties reduced slow SQL volume and execution time by over 70% and improved database throughput by 30% — validating the stability and operational capabilities of domestic databases in ultra-large-scale production environments.
On-Site Highlights: Full-Stack Portfolio and AI-Native Capabilities in Focus
At the exhibition, GBASE focused on telecommunications business scenarios, showcasing its GBase database portfolio and solutions spanning distributed analytical, centralized transactional, and distributed transactional workloads. Among the highlights: the AI-native database GBase 8c (supporting intelligent applications with multi-model storage and multi-form deployment, and recently setting a new record atop the HyBench benchmark), the GBase 8s SSC shared storage cluster (selected for the newly added shared-storage architecture category in the 2026 China Database Industry Landscape), and innovative applications of the GBase 8a analytical database. These drew significant attention from telecommunications users and IT application innovation ecosystem partners alike.
On the deployment front, GBase database was selected with the largest share in China Mobile's joint innovation program, completing domestic replacement of over 100 databases in Jilin Mobile's business support system while optimizing costs and ensuring business continuity. At Jiangsu Mobile, which serves over 200 million users, GBase database supports the domestic upgrade of network management systems, pioneering a replicable path for autonomous, controllable O-domain network operations systems at provincial operators. From joint innovation to large-scale replacement, from B-domain business support to O-domain network operations, GBase database is becoming the primary foundation for domestic replacement in operators' core systems.
Looking ahead, GBASE will continue to work with telecommunications operators and industry partners to build a new era of digital-intelligence development on an autonomous, controllable data foundation.
