Solutions

The Beijing Medical Service Price Information Management Platform is powered by the GBase 8a analytical database from General Data Technology. It extracts and loads data from hospitals across Beijing into GBase 8a, storing and processing comprehensive medical service data—including general medical services, general treatment operations, nursing, and other service items. This enables in-depth analysis of city-wide medical information, offering multi-dimensional analysis, ad hoc querying, and report statistics management, while delivering fast query response on tens of millions of records.


Requirements Analysis

This project is designed to store and process medical service data from hospitals across all levels in Beijing. It adopts a new analytical application architecture to enable complex analysis of massive healthcare datasets, ensuring fast query and statistical response as data volumes surge and analytics demands intensify. Phase One ingests and processes terabytes of data from five Grade III Class A hospitals. Phase Two will aggregate data from 35 hospitals and eventually scale to support 600 hospitals.

Project Background

In the current medical service pricing system, the lack of aggregation and analysis of actual medical data from various hospitals in Beijing has caused medical prices to deviate from actual costs, leading to undervaluation of healthcare labor, diminished work motivation, excessive examinations and medications, and difficulties in regulatory oversight by health authorities. To further strengthen the management of medical service pricing and facilitate orderly administration, the client built the Beijing Medical Service Price Information Management Platform. This platform aggregates and analyzes comprehensive medical service data from hospitals and community health centers across Beijing, enabling price supervision and management, while also providing important reference for hospitals in formulating treatment plans for challenging conditions.
