GBASE supports Shandong Mobile in building an O-domain shared data platform.

Project Background

Shandong Mobile's O-domain has reached a high level of maturity after long-term IT development. However, the data silos formed by numerous systems have constrained the long-term growth of O-domain business. There is an urgent need to build a shared data platform to meet the demands for rough processing and detailed data aggregation of the core network, support the growth of wireless networks, hotspot applications, dictionary-based common data, and other professional hotspot data. At the same time, based on the data capabilities accumulated by the O-domain shared data platform, real-time query APIs for wireless and core network performance indicators will be published to the capability exposure platform, empowering business personnel and platform development across the province and enhancing the platform's atomic sharing capability.

Solution Architecture

The project selected GBase 8a MPP V9 to support its construction based on business characteristics. It handles massive volumes of structured data with rapid growth. The GBase database enables unified management, consolidation, and analysis of large-scale data while meeting real-time analytics requirements for core O-domain business. It specifically addresses data growth in recently processed detail-layer data from the core network domain, recently processed detail-layer data from the wireless network domain, processing and result data for hotspot application analytics, commonly used dictionary data, and hotspot data from other domains.

Value Delivered

1) The OSS domain data sharing platform enables periodic storage of multiple data types, supporting most real‑time analytical applications.

2) Leveraging an MPP + Hadoop hybrid architecture fully unleashes the strengths of each engine, dramatically boosting query and analysis performance on massive structured data correlation.

3) Breaking down data silos, it meets the daily operational analysis needs of the OSS domain, driving operational improvements and business enhancements.

4) Reducing learning and usage costs for developers, GBase uses standard SQL protocols, empowering city‑level business staff to quickly build and run query analysis.
