Independently Developed Database Replacement Project for Liaoning Rural Credit Union’s Integrated Operations Platform

The Liaoning Rural Credit Cooperatives Union's Integrated Operations Platform originally used Oracle 11g as its primary business data repository. In the current landscape, it faced low data security and insufficient local technical support, failing to meet compliance requirements. Taking the platform's transformation as an entry point, Liaoning Rural Credit Cooperatives Union achieved a full replacement with domestically developed databases and plans to extend this replacement across daily operations systems. This ensures data security for in-house business systems while maintaining stable system operations.

This project fully replaced the Oracle 11g RAC architecture with GBase 8s’ shared cluster technology. All data objects in the relevant systems—including databases, tables, stored data, stored procedures, and triggers—were migrated and adapted within a short timeframe. Verified by the bank’s application department, the solution performed at the same level as Oracle 11g. Both systems ran in parallel for over three months without any incidents, confirming that GBase 8s can serve as a complete replacement for foreign database products.
