Shandong Rural Credit Cooperative Category Risk Screening System Construction Project
Project Background
To further implement the three lines of defense covering business, risk, and audit, establish the concept of “comprehensive compliance,” and coordinate risk prevention and control across all lines, Shandong Rural Credit Cooperative, from the perspective of effectively promoting the sound operation of all rural commercial banks in the province, built and launched a category-based risk anomaly detection system featuring strong risk identification capabilities, well-designed risk handling workflows, and robust functionality. This system provides process support for the investigation and resolution of major risk categories.
During the construction, requirements emphasized security, reliability, and self-controllability, calling for a progressive reduction in reliance on foreign products within business systems and an acceleration of domestic substitution efforts.
Solutions
Shandong Rural Credit Cooperative deployed a GBase 8a database cluster to support its risk exception screening system. The setup uses 16 Chinese-made servers powered by Kunpeng processors, runs on the Kylin OS, and stores business data on the GBase 8a cluster. The system serves over 3,000 concurrent users.
Key application modules include model management, suspicious point management, suspicious point verification, issue rectification, accountability enforcement, system management, and BI reporting services. On the data architecture side, the system adopts a hybrid OLTP and OLAP approach. For deployment, all application, reporting, and database servers are clustered to ensure high availability.
Source data is drawn from core banking, credit, treasury, and general ledger systems. The GBase 8a cluster is used to build a dedicated risk data mart that can be shared by other risk management systems. It also allows those systems to create independent databases, with data isolation enforced through user permissions, and to design their own backup strategies as needed.
Implementation Results
During the system construction, GBase 8a MPP Cluster met the requirements for IT application innovation and domestic technology adoption, addressing massive data storage, compression, and analysis scenarios. It ensures efficient query performance through columnar storage, intelligent indexes, and parallel processing mechanisms. For data security, it strengthens protection via auditing, encryption, access control, backup, and disaster recovery.
