GBASE supports SPD Bank's account reporting system upgrade and transformation
Project Overview
SPD Bank's account system utilizes an all-in-one Account Front-End Appliance from China Financial Computerization Group, built on GBase database. The Account Front-End Appliance (IT Application Innovation edition) follows a mature and reliable 'hard replacement' principle, maximizing security and controllability while keeping functions, business requirements, and system architecture unchanged. Migrating the account front-end system to a secure and controllable foundation environment enables innovative application integration of the account front-end system.
As the core support software for SPD Bank's Account Front-End System, GBase database handles the aggregation and centralized storage of all structured data across the bank. This project involved upgrading the Account Front-End System to a new version, ensuring stable rollout and operation of the new Account Front-End Appliance. The Appliance (IT Application Innovation edition) enables data application scenarios for the account system within a secure and controllable IT environment.
1. Supports data pre-auditing, effectively improving the quality of data submissions by commercial banks.
2. Enables direct data submission to regulatory systems, simplifying the reporting process and boosting efficiency.
3. Provides message monitoring, allowing commercial banks to track real-time status of messages exchanged with regulatory bodies.
4. Delivers an integrated software and hardware solution with data encryption devices and features that comply with national cryptographic standards, simplifying deployment and reducing operational workload.
5. Supports IT Application Innovation transformation for commercial banks, with compatibility for Phytium series chips, and IT Application Innovation-compatible operating systems, databases, and web containers.
Built on GBase database technology, continuous integration with big data and cloud computing enables data resource sharing and strengthens data asset operation and management capabilities. This creates a data service platform powered by GBase database, delivering superior data services for the bank's Account Front-End System and business growth.
Implementation Plan
The project adopts an appliance deployment model. The implementation plan mainly includes hardware installation, equipment debugging, and network debugging. Once the equipment is in place, engineers are deployed on-site for racking, power-on, and other tasks. Subsequently, the institution data, user data, permission data, and business data used by the original account front-end appliance are migrated to the IT Application Innovation (Xinchuang) version, and the initialization of the Xinchuang environment is completed.
Considering the three dimensions of independent controllability, performance, and ecosystem maturity, the Xinchuang (IT Application Innovation) transformation of the account front-end system is based on Xinchuang ARM chips. For chip adaptation, the Phytium chip series is prioritized; the operating system is Kylin V10, and the database is the GBase database from General Data Technology.
After going live, a dual-track operation approach is adopted. Account data reporting operations are conducted in the Xinchuang environment, which ensures stable operation during the trial run. If issues arise in the Xinchuang environment, account data can be reported to the People's Bank of China (PBOC) via the original environment. Once the new Xinchuang environment is restored, operations will resume on it.
Application Results
The Account Pre-Processing Appliance (IT Application Innovation Version), powered by the GBase database from General Data Technology Co., Ltd., adopts an integrated hardware-software appliance architecture. It consolidates the IT Application Innovation (ITAI)-compliant software and hardware environment into a single server, delivering a streamlined reporting solution for individual and non-resident accounts. This simplifies user workflows and boosts operational efficiency.
1. GBase supports deployment in a fully localized environment, with seamless compatibility with ITAI chips and operating systems, making implementation straightforward. The appliance exchanges data with internal bank systems via files, eliminating the need for development and integration work and significantly reducing implementation effort.
2. Systematically tested and validated, this project delivers high replaceability, scalability, stability, availability, and controllability. It can be promoted across management and transaction applications, enriching the execution standards for foundational technology architectures.
3. It sets a strong example for the financial industry’s comprehensive adoption of the IT Application Innovation strategy, accelerating the enforcement of “secure and controllable” domestic technology supervision and driving the evolution of industry technology architectures.
