GBASE Supports Zhejiang Tailong Commercial Bank's Regulatory "One Form" Data Localization Project

Project Overview

To implement China's national IT application innovation strategy and meet financial regulators' compliance requirements for "One Form" (standardized regulatory data reporting), Zhejiang Tailong Commercial Bank Co., Ltd. launched its regulatory One Form data localization project, procuring domestic database software to complete the domestic replacement and smooth migration of its trusted zone database.

Solution

GBASE's GBase 8a MPP Cluster is a shared-nothing massively parallel processing (MPP) database cluster product designed for large-scale data analytics. Data is distributed across multiple replicas, so failure of any single data node does not affect business continuity. Management nodes are deployed in primary-standby mode, eliminating single points of failure.

This project deployed a 3-node GBase 8a MPP Cluster, completing cluster planning and design, installation, deployment, and tuning based on the bank's actual One Form trusted zone business workload. This included migration testing, migration rehearsal, and migration go-live, ensuring data integrity and consistency throughout the migration.

Results

Compliance: Meets regulators' compliance requirements for IT application innovation in the financial sector, eliminating potential risks such as foreign product license expiration and supply chain disruption.

Business: Through a three-phase "test — rehearse — go-live" migration methodology, the bank smoothly migrated 10–20 TB of existing regulatory data. After go-live, multiple rounds of data comparison and business validation confirmed that data completeness and reporting accuracy meet regulatory requirements.

Performance: Significantly shortens the regulatory data processing window and improves response times for complex join queries. Columnar storage and high-compression algorithms effectively reduce storage footprint at equivalent data scale. The cluster supports online scaling, readily accommodating continued future growth in regulatory data volumes.
