Db Insurance Co., Ltd. Software and Hardware Localization Project

Project Overview

To meet its business operations and regulatory requirements, Db Insurance Co., Ltd. procured domestic hardware and software to build and upgrade its information systems. The company migrated its existing MySQL database environment to GBase 8s, GBASE's independently developed domestic transaction-processing database, while completing a domestic upgrade of its underlying software and hardware platform — switching from non-domestic servers and Red Hat operating systems to Kunpeng 920 servers and Kylin V10 operating systems. This established a full-stack domestic foundation platform that satisfies Multi-Level Protection Scheme (MLPS) and IT application innovation compliance requirements, as well as autonomous and controllable infrastructure goals.

Solution

GBase 8s serves as the configuration database for the new accounting standards, supporting standard parameter configuration, process management, business approval, and fine-grained permission control. It safeguards the security and stability of financial rule data, with approval audit trails and permission isolation tailored to the financial scenarios' IT application innovation compliance needs.

The project adopted a smooth migration approach, migrating the existing MySQL databases to GBase 8s while simultaneously switching the underlying hardware and operating system to a domestic Kunpeng 920 + Kylin V10 environment. GBase 8s is compatible with common MySQL syntax, drivers, and development practices, dramatically reducing application modification effort. It supports multiple deployment architectures including primary-standby and shared-storage clusters, and ships with migration tools that rapidly complete schema and data migration with controllable implementation costs.

Results

  • Autonomous and controllable: Completed full-stack domestic replacement of servers, operating systems, and databases, establishing a fully domestic software and hardware platform. It delivers enterprise-grade high availability and high security, meets MLPS and IT application innovation compliance requirements, and supports the autonomous and controllable deployment of business systems.

  • Business: The database migration was smooth, with upper-layer business applications essentially unaffected, minimal business changes, and low migration risk.
