Academician Workstation of General Data Technology

In September 2017, Academician Shen Changxiang signed a joint establishment agreement for the "Academician Workstation" with General Data Technology; in December 2017, the workstation was officially approved by Tianjin Association for Science and Technology and formally established.

The Academician Workstation of General Data Technology aims to leverage Academician Shen's guidance to elevate the company's research capabilities in the security field and develop active immune trusted database products.

The Academician Workstation is located within General Data Technology. It features dedicated offices, meeting rooms, and is equipped with 86 units of office and R&D equipment, including servers and switches, effectively meeting the workspace and research needs of the academician and his team.

Building a Comprehensive Trusted Computing Environment for Data

Shen Changxiang is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He has engaged in research on computer information systems, cryptographic engineering, information security architecture, system software security (secure operating systems, secure databases, etc.), and network security. He has completed over 20 major research projects, achieving a series of significant results. He has won 2 first-class, 3 second-class, and 3 third-class National Science and Technology Progress Awards, as well as more than ten military science and technology progress awards.

General Data Technology is a provider of databases, big data products, and solutions, dedicated to developing independently controllable products. It has invested in and researched secure databases for 14 years. Its secure database, GBase 8s, has obtained a series of security certifications including Level 4 of China's Classified Protection of Information Security, reflecting deep foundations and capabilities in information and network security.

Through collaboration with Academician Shen, the Academician Workstation of General Data Technology will elevate research in trusted computing-based information security technologies, enhance the information security level of cloud computing-based big data platforms, conduct research on active immune defense systems for big data environments using trusted computing technologies, address security and trust issues in big data environments, and propose relevant specifications for trusted big data environments, thereby building a comprehensive trusted computing environment solution for data.

Establishing a Standardized Innovative Talent Development Mechanism

Trusted computing is an unstoppable trend. As early as 2005, China’s 11th Five-Year Plan and the 863 Program listed "trusted computing" as a key supported project. Trusted computing requires a large number of talents, and talent development is urgently needed.

In addition to focusing on technology and products, the Academician Workstation will jointly establish a standardized innovative talent development mechanism with Academician Shen, completing the cultivation of innovative talents for both parties.
