GBase Earns Spot on China's 2020 Top 100 Advanced Computing List
On November 3, at the 2020 World Computer Conference held in Changsha, Hunan, the '2020 Top 100 Advanced Computing Enterprises' list was released, featuring General Data Technology Co., Ltd. (GBase).
The computing industry is undergoing accelerated transformation, with cutting-edge innovations constantly emerging. The selection of the list was based on an analysis and trend assessment of China's advanced computing development. CCID Research Institute selected 117 companies across five key areas—advanced computing services, terminals, software, core components, and infrastructure—and evaluated them based on revenue, market share, revenue growth rate, and R&D capabilities, presenting a comprehensive reflection of the digital and intelligent application capabilities and innovation across China's enterprise sector.
In the digital era, China is undergoing a massive wave of digital transformation. As a leading player in the basic software sector of China-developed databases, GBase has consistently focused on independent R&D and promotion of homegrown database technologies since its inception. It provides users with a full stack of China-developed database products, data technology solutions, and deployment services. The GBase series of database products has served over 10,000 customers across finance, telecommunications, government, transportation, national defense, and enterprise sectors. Being included on this list is an industry recognition of GBase's years of achievement.
GBase independently developed the big data distributed analytical database GBase 8a MPP Cluster, designed to meet the growing demands for data analytics, data mining, data backup, and ad-hoc queries in data-intensive industries. It has been deployed at scale across hundreds of users in dozens of sectors, including the People's Bank of China, China Banking Regulatory Commission, China Securities Regulatory Commission, Agricultural Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Merchants Bank, China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom, General Administration of Customs, and a national defense department, with over 10,000 nodes online and managing more than 200 PB of data.
The transaction-oriented database GBase 8s is a mature, stable, financial-grade, China-developed secure database that supports shared storage clusters and two-site-three-center deployment, capable of handling hundreds of terabytes. It has been widely adopted in core business systems across critical sectors, including State Grid, China Railway (12306), the State Information Center, Industrial Bank, Beijing Rural Commercial Bank, Yalong River Hydropower Station, and a national defense department.
Seizing current opportunities, GBase will continue its mission of "Dedicated to database software products and services, committed to becoming the most trusted database supplier."
