GBASE Drives Business Operations for the General Administration of Customs

Data Storage, Sharing, and Analytics Platform. By adopting GBase 8a MPP Cluster, GBASE built a data storage, sharing, and analytics platform for the General Administration of Customs. Through comprehensive planning and overall design of customs information resources, it provides a unified data platform for the interconnection and optimization of hundreds of systems, addressing information silos. Through complex correlation computing and deep analysis and mining of data, the platform completes data aggregation, model building, and execution, generates project-specific labels and indicator libraries from computing and aggregation results, and delivers capabilities such as ad-hoc querying on massive data, complex computing, and data mining for upper-layer systems.

Visual Big Data Analytics Tool. GBASE provides the GBaseBI visual big data analytics tool for the customs service, which is used in applications such as nationwide customs clearance integration and inspection and anti-smuggling risk control. It directly serves 42 directly-subordinated customs districts across China, offering rapid and comprehensive data query services to customs offices nationwide. Currently, in inspection and anti-smuggling analysis, GBaseBI has around 300–400 daily active users, with each user's single query reaching tens of millions of records. Even under high concurrency, data query requests can achieve sub-second response times.
