GBase Shines at the 2020 Database Technology Conference
The 11th Database Technology Conference (DTCC2020) was successfully held at the Beijing International Convention Center from December 21 to 23. GBase made a brilliant appearance at the event with its distributed analytical database GBase 8a MPP, transactional database GBase 8s, and distributed transactional database GBase 8c, and was invited to deliver a keynote speech.
With the rapid development of emerging technologies such as cloud computing and big data, informatization has grown in strategic importance, becoming a vital tool and means for strategic innovation. Currently, companies in this stage are mostly Internet enterprises and industries with high levels of informatization, such as finance and telecommunications, which also represent the goal and direction for most enterprises' future IT development. On December 22, Zhang Shaoyong, General Manager of GBase's Data Intelligence Product Division, delivered a keynote speech titled 'GBase 8a MPP Logical Data Warehouse Empowers Industry Digital Transformation and Upgrading'.
During the digital transformation and upgrading driven by data, enterprise users face challenges such as long data latency and inability to guide operations in real time; a growing number of data sources, including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data types; large data volumes and increasing applications that overwhelm databases in storage and load; and traditional data models failing to effectively support deep mining and quickly uncover data value. GBase 8a MPP Cluster provides leading solutions in terms of Variety, Volume, and Value.
First, GBase's analytical database GBase 8a MPP architecture (LDW) achieves unified interfaces and unified access through data virtualization, and cross-data-source data access and computing through data federation. It features the ability to run anywhere, store anywhere, and use anywhere, addressing comprehensive analysis scenarios across multiple data sources and diverse data types, as well as bi-modal working modes.
Second, the GBase 8a MPP architecture (LDW) integrates big data processing capabilities across different levels: fusion of full-spectrum data processing platform capabilities, fusion of analytical platform and real-time transactional database capabilities, fusion between MPP and Hadoop clusters, and fusion among homogeneous MPP clusters (virtual clusters). This can effectively reduce the decision-making, modeling, operation and maintenance, and development costs for users building big data systems.
Meanwhile, at the conference, after evaluation by several authoritative technical experts in the industry, the '2020 Data Storm Award' results released by the ITPUB community recognized GBase's transactional database GBase 8s V8.8 as the Innovative Product of the Year.
As the Database Technology Conference (DTCC2020) is in full swing, GBase's GBASE series databases, through years of commercial accumulation, refinement, and innovation, have continuously achieved fruitful results in industries such as finance, telecommunications, energy, and government and transportation. In the future, GBase will continue to put users first, focus on database software products and services, and strive to become the most trusted database product provider.
