On December 26, the 6th (2020) National High-Level Forum on Information Security and IT Application Innovation Strategy and the 2nd Tianjin Big Data Industry Summit were successfully held in Tianjin. The event aimed to vigorously promote the development of China's digital economy, build a platform for the information security and IT application innovation industry, and create a better environment for the innovation of information technology in China. GBase was invited to attend and delivered an important report.

The forum was hosted by the China Computer Users Association, the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the Hexi District People's Government, and others, and organized by the Tianjin Big Data Association and others. It served as a platform for the information security and big data industry to showcase and exchange, bringing together voices from government, experts, enterprises, and users to analyze the situation, share experiences, raise issues, and discuss solutions. Du Guowang, Vice President of GBase, delivered a keynote speech titled "Securely and Effectively Unlocking the Value of Data Assets," sharing insights on how to effectively and securely unlock data value under current data asset characteristics.

During the roundtable forum themed "Focusing on New Developments in Information Technology, Sharing New Opportunities in the Digital Economy," Du Guowang noted: Against the backdrop of the ongoing IT application innovation and new infrastructure trends, GBase, as a core infrastructure software provider, is encountering unprecedented opportunities. In recent reports on financial IT application innovation, GBase's database was the first China-developed database to enter core financial business systems, with over a hundred application cases in the financial sector, making it a pioneer and leader in the application innovation of China-developed databases in finance.

The new infrastructure drive has spurred a wave of digital transformation among state-owned enterprises. GBase series databases, with their support for time-series data and GIS spatio-temporal data features, offer unique advantages in facilitating enterprise digital transformation and are well positioned to support demonstration projects.

At the same time, with changes in the overall landscape, the database vendor ecosystem is booming. According to incomplete statistics, there are nearly 300 vendors, and industry transformation is imminent, exposing GBase to unprecedented competitive pressure. The essence of database infrastructure software lies in product maturity and stability. As a company that has focused exclusively on database software and services for 16 years, GBase has weathered many challenges, and its product maturity and stability have been fully validated by the market.

As a private enterprise, GBase 8s is a mature, stable, 100TB-scale, financial-grade secure transactional database that supports shared-storage clusters and two-site, three-center deployment. It has already been deployed at scale in core business systems across critical sectors such as State Grid, 12306, the State Information Center, Industrial Bank, Beijing Rural Commercial Bank, the Yalong River Hydropower Station, and a national defense agency. It is well-equipped to meet the data processing needs of demand-side innovation demonstration projects.

Going forward, GBase will remain customer-centric, deliver excellent products and services, and strive to become the most trusted database vendor, leading the digital economy transformation.
