Converging Light into Gold: GBase Attends Photonics Ecosystem Financial Industry Partner Conference
Recently, the Photonics Ecosystem Financial Industry Partner Conference, themed “Converging Light into Gold, Joining Forces and Integration,” was successfully held in Beijing. Government, institution, and enterprise partners gathered to share insights and practices from multiple perspectives, jointly exploring the path of innovation and development in the financial technology industry. As a leading database provider in China, GBase was invited to attend the conference and became one of the first 26 member units of the Photonics Ecosystem Financial Technology Committee.
The Hygon Industrial Ecosystem Cooperation Organization (abbreviated as Photonics Ecosystem) is an ecosystem alliance initiated by Hygon, dedicated to industrial cooperation and innovation, promoting the development of the digital economy, and fostering the long-term growth of the domestic information industry ecosystem. After its establishment, the Photonics Ecosystem Financial Technology Committee will provide a platform for sharing and cooperation among IT ecosystem partners, aiming to jointly redefine the financial technology industry chain and establish a new development paradigm of “innovation, security, and reliability.” Mu Wei, General Manager of GBase’s Financial Department, elaborated on financial technology innovation from five aspects: “More Data, Faster Performance, Better Experience, Lower TCO, and Integrated Collaboration,” demonstrating the company’s leading thinking and comprehensive capabilities.
GBase has already established deep cooperation with the Photonics Ecosystem, building an efficient communication and service support system. In the financial sector, GBase’s analytical database GBase 8a, together with domestically produced chips, has been applied in the Bank of China’s headquarters big data platform project transitioning from a centralized architecture to a distributed architecture, jointly creating a high-performance general computing platform. It has also innovatively deployed a single cluster to unify the data foundation, computing platform, and application model for branch offices, providing a parallel massive complex data processing platform and enabling petabyte-level business operations.
The GBase database series has built efficient data management systems for banking, insurance, and other financial customers through deep professional expertise, leading technology, and a high-quality service system. It is one of the exceptionally few database products in China to be deployed in large numbers in core business systems of the financial industry. Currently, GBase provides big data services to over 80 financial regulatory agencies and banks, including the People’s Bank of China, the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and the Agricultural Bank of China. It also provides transactional database products to 19 banks, such as Beijing Rural Commercial Bank, Huaxia Bank, and Bank of Dongguan.
Looking ahead, GBase will continue to work hand in hand with Photonics Ecosystem partners, leveraging its strengths to share resources and complement each other’s capabilities, strengthening industry-academia-research-application collaboration to enhance competitiveness in the financial technology market.
