GBase 8a MPP Cluster passed the CAICT basic capability assessment with 4,096 nodes.
In June 2021, the 12th Big Data Product Capability Database Basic Capability Review Conference hosted by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (hereinafter referred to as "CAICT") concluded successfully. The review panel included experts from Postal Savings Bank of China, Hua Xia Bank, and Bank of Beijing. The review process covered five stages: product documentation review, test report review, vendor presentation and defense, Q&A and clarification, and centralized deliberation. GBase 8a MPP Cluster, a distributed analytical database, achieved a perfect score in CAICT's big data product large-scale basic capability assessment with a cluster of 4,096 nodes.
GBase 8a MPP Cluster is currently the largest MPP database cluster to pass CAICT's big data product large-scale basic capability assessment, with all 51 test cases successfully completed. Additionally, GBase is the first Chinese database vendor to complete a dedicated performance benchmark at a scale of 4,096 nodes.
GBase 8a MPP Cluster, a distributed analytical database, leverages proprietary core technologies such as SCMS (Single Connection Multi Stream), coroutines, and NonBlock-workflow to effectively resolve bottlenecks in large-scale MPP database deployments and break through cluster size limitations. These tests demonstrate that GBase 8a MPP Cluster, as an infrastructure for data warehousing and big data platforms, can support the construction of large-scale user clusters and is fully capable of underpinning core business operations in critical industries, providing a powerful tool for users to unlock the value of their data.
