On June 23, the "2022 Technology-Driven Bay Area Digital Finance Summit" was successfully held in Guangzhou. Jointly hosted by the Financial Committee of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation Promotion Association and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Financial Innovation Institute, and co-organized by General Data Technology Co., Ltd., the event brought together the ICBC Software Development Center, the Agricultural Bank of China R&D Center, UnionPay Guangdong, policy banks, state-owned commercial banks, joint-stock commercial banks, city commercial banks, insurers, securities firms, and IT companies across the Guangdong region. The participants discussed deeper integration of finance and technology to drive digital finance development in the Greater Bay Area.

At the summit, Zhang Shaoyong, General Manager of the Data Intelligence Product Management Department of GBASE, shared insights on the topic "GBase Cloud Logical Data Warehouse Helps the Financial Industry Meet New Challenges in Digital Transformation." Faced with industry-wide digital transformation, traditional enterprise data warehouses encounter six major challenges: elastic resource scaling, escalating workloads, real-time processing, diverse data types, increasing data value, and data security. A next-generation enterprise data warehouse must be cloud-enabled, distributed, converged, intelligent, real-time, and secure to meet enterprise digital transformation demands.

GBase GCDW cloud logical data warehouse is not merely a single distributed OLAP RDBMS, but a key component of a big data platform with comprehensive processing capabilities, fostering integration with other platforms, multi-tenant data sharing, and cross-center operations. As big data applications become more complex and converged, GBase GCDW incorporates intelligent computing, including machine learning, along with federated computation capabilities between relational and non-relational computing, as well as real-time data ingestion and processing for a real-time data warehouse.

GBase GCDW also supports secure data transmission and storage, and through these capabilities, it empowers data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, and data hubs. Leveraging a disaggregated compute-storage architecture, it enables DaaS deployment across analytical private clouds and public cloud, providing cloud data warehouse capabilities, thereby creating a pivot point for digital transformation in the industry.

Outside the venue, GBASE also set up a product booth to engage with financial leaders, showcasing the strengths and services of GBase products. For eighteen years, General Data Technology has focused exclusively on database software products and services, making it one of the few independent database providers in China to achieve large-scale deployment in sectors such as finance and telecommunications.

With deep roots in the financial industry, GBASE has accumulated experience serving banks, insurers, and securities firms, building a portfolio of representative and benchmark cases. The GBase family of databases has been battle-tested in real-world scenarios, consistently delivering strong performance.

This push into the South China market has yielded significant results, further strengthening GBASE's nationwide service footprint — rooted in Tianjin and extending across the country. Moving forward, we will continue to leverage our financial service strengths, continuously expand and reinforce our capabilities, and contribute to the IT modernization of China's financial industry!
