"Specialized and Sophisticated" enterprises: forge expertise through focus

The term "Specialized and Sophisticated" refers to specialization, refinement, distinctiveness, and innovation. It means forging expertise through focus, strengthening industries through complementary supply chains, and winning markets through innovation. These "Specialized and Sophisticated" enterprises are a critical pillar of China's manufacturing sector and essential to maintaining stable industrial and supply chains. The 2022 Government Work Report specifically called for intensive efforts to cultivate "Specialized and Sophisticated" enterprises, with strong support in funding, talent, and incubation platform development.

As one of the first batch of National Specialized and Sophisticated "Little Giant" enterprises, General Data Technology Co., Ltd. (GBase) has been deeply engaged in the database field for two decades. Its self-developed GBase series of database products have broken the monopoly of foreign databases and are among the very few domestic database vendors capable of replacing foreign products in core business systems. Its flagship analytical database, GBase 8a, has completed key technological breakthroughs such as virtual clustering, cross-domain heterogeneous multi-engine fusion, cross-domain transparent access acceleration, and database encryption, filling a technology gap in China's big data sector. In the traditional transaction processing field, the transactional database GBase 8s meets China's MLPS Level 4 standard, supports shared-storage cluster deployment and two-site/three-center high-availability deployment, and has been deployed at scale in critical sectors such as State Grid, China Railway's 12306 system, PetroChina, PipeChina, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Huaxia Bank, China Re, and others.

The successful completion of this re-evaluation for the first batch of National Specialized and Sophisticated "Little Giant" enterprises marks strong recognition and support for GBase databases from the state and users. Moving forward, GBase will continue to uphold its mission of "Becoming the most trusted database product supplier for our users," persistently focus on breakthroughs and innovations in core database technologies, actively fulfill its role as a Specialized and Sophisticated "Little Giant" enterprise, and drive China's digital transformation.
