GBase Attends the 'Post-Pandemic University Informatization Transformation Seminar'

On the afternoon of February 24, the “Post-Pandemic University Informatization Transformation Seminar” was held in Nanjing. Organized by the Jiangsu Higher Education Informatization Network Committee, co-organized by the Jiangsu Network and Distributed Computing Professional Committee, and jointly hosted by Tianjin General Data Technology Co., Ltd., Nanjing Cloud Innovation Big Data Technology Co., Ltd., and Inspur Electronic Information Industry Co., Ltd., the event brought together several experts from academia and industry for an in-depth discussion on post-pandemic university informatization development. At the opening, Mao Mingrong, Director of Jiangsu University Network Committee, shared his views on “Post-Pandemic University Informatization Transformation”. He noted that the post-pandemic era has transformed the work and study patterns of faculty and students, raising new requirements for responsiveness and technology implementation in university IT systems, and calling for a shift in focus and mindset to drive both conceptual and technological innovation.

Subsequently, Yang Bo, Vice President of Shandong Computer Society and Deputy Director of Shandong Provincial Informatization Expert Committee, delivered a keynote titled “Platform-Led, AI-Empowered: Co-writing a New Chapter in Smart Campus Construction”. Inspur presented on “Data-Driven Momentum: Inspur Storage Innovates with Customers” and “Inspur Smart Campus IT Application Innovation Solution”, sharing key applications in storage and IT application innovation and their roles in university informatization. Nanjing Cloud Innovation focused on “Post-Pandemic Smart Campus Solutions”, elaborating on AI’s application in education and further demonstrating the on-campus use cases of its big data products and technologies, such as the Smart Street Light Companion and facial recognition technology.
