GBase University Tour Cultivates Talent, Shines at China Software Cup

On August 26, the 5th China Software Cup, a college student software design competition hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Education, and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, concluded with an awards ceremony after six exciting and competitive days.

 

GBase Industry-Leading  Competition Topic Welcomed by Students

GBase (General Data Technology Co., Ltd.), a leading database vendor in China, was the only database industry question-setter in the 5th China Software Cup. Its topic, "Vehicle Plate Duplicate Checking System Based on IoT," drew enthusiastic registration with over 40 teams initially signed up and more than 20 submissions in the preliminary round. Ultimately, eight teams entered the final round. After two rounds of expert defense, two teams qualified for the final presentation. In the final evaluation, the team "We Are Striving!" from the Engineering University of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force won the first prize of the entire competition.

GBase's Support for Education Recognized

At this year's competition, GBase was honored with the "Outstanding Enterprise Contribution Award," recognizing its support for education and dedication to the industry.

The China Software Cup is a public-interest competition for college and vocational students nationwide. Following the model of "government guidance, enterprise question-setting, university participation, expert review, and talent cultivation and selection," it has created a new platform for industry-academia integration, inspiring students' passion for software development. It has carved out a path of collaboration and win-win talent cultivation through industry-education interaction, nurturing more practical talents for the software industry and truly benefiting all parties while promoting industry growth.

GBase University Tour Nurtures Talent  A Long Journey Ahead, Yet We Press On

GBase's "University Tour" promotes and popularizes Chinese-developed database technology at universities nationwide, spreading knowledge of domestic database products and technologies. Through activities such as teaching participation, product courses, hands-on labs, project assignments, and corporate internships, the program cultivates practical skills for domestic database talent, ultimately building a pool of high-end domestic database professionals for the nation. To date, it has established partnerships with Tsinghua University, Nankai University, Yanshan University, Guangxi Normal University, Zhejiang University, Jilin University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Zhejiang University of Technology to jointly develop database talent.

GBase's outstanding performance at this competition demonstrates the effectiveness of the University Tour. The cultivation of talent for domestic databases is a long and challenging journey, but GBase will persevere and keep moving forward.
