GBase Wins Double Awards at 2015 China Software Conference
On December 18, the “2015 China Software Conference and the 14th China Software and Information Service Industry Awards Ceremony”, hosted by the China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID), grandly opened at the Beijing New Century Hotel. General Data Technology Co., Ltd. (GBase) was invited to attend and received two honors: the 2015 China Software and Information Service “Outstanding Service Provider Award in Database Application” and the “Best Product Award in Database Application”, marking that GBase’s achievements in the database field in recent years have been highly recognized by the industry.

As a leader in China’s database industry, GBase has developed rapidly in the past two years. According to the “2014-2015 China Platform Software Market Research Annual Report” released by CCID Consulting, GBase has ranked first in the domestic database market for four consecutive years, and has moved from a “Niche Player” to a “Challenger” in the Magic Quadrant. GBase was listed on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ) in early August 2015, becoming the first stock of domestic databases. Its products target key industries such as finance, telecommunications, government, and security, and have been successfully deployed in typical projects such as the head office of Agricultural Bank of China, the Golden Customs Phase II of the General Administration of Customs, China Mobile Beijing, and China Mobile Guangxi.

GBase 8a MPP Cluster is a parallel database independently developed by GBase for massive data analysis, featuring high performance, high availability, and high scalability, with technology that is leading in China and on par with international counterparts. It provides PB-level data storage and high-performance distributed data processing, enabling sub-second responses to complex queries on PB-scale data. It is widely used in telecommunications, finance, security, transportation, auditing, and other fields to support various data warehouse systems, BI systems, and decision support systems. It has been successfully deployed in major projects such as the mission-critical business system of Agricultural Bank of China, the cloud-based business analysis system of China Mobile, the national security audit platform, and the decision support system for the Golden Tax Phase III. In the “2014 Database Market Tracking Report” published by IDC, it stated: “The new version of GBase 8a MPP database cluster matches the performance and stability of international similar databases and can support enterprise-level data warehouses and PB-level industry big data applications.”
With the rise of cloud technology, Internet Plus, and the Internet of Things, the world has entered the era of big data. As China’s software and information service industry embraces greater development opportunities, industry users have also placed higher demands on data. In response, GBase has always regarded product improvement and meeting customer needs as its responsibility and mission. Next year, it will launch GBase UP (Unified Platform), a big data platform product for enterprise users, which enables data fusion and complementarity through a unified interface, significantly lowering the technical barriers for enterprises to use big data, thereby creating more data value.
