GBase 8a MPP Achieves Deep Compatibility with KylinOS (x86 Edition)
Recently, the GBase 8a MPP Cluster database and Kylin Advanced Server Operating System V10 (x86 Edition) completed deep compatibility testing, achieving full functional and performance compatibility. The testing used Intel Xeon 6330 processors.
Performance test results demonstrate that the combination of GBase 8a and KylinOS delivers performance comparable to mainstream international databases and operating systems on x86 hardware platforms.
Kylin Advanced Server Operating System and GBase Database Achieve Compatibility Certification
Based on the mutual compatibility test results, KylinSoft has issued the NeoCertify certification to the GBase 8a database product.
GBase 8a MPP Cluster is a Shared Nothing architecture-based distributed parallel database cluster. It features a federated architecture, massively parallel processing, massive data compression, virtual clusters and mirroring, and online rapid scaling. It delivers high performance, high availability, high scalability, and ease of expansion, offering a cost-effective universal computing platform for data management of all sizes. It is widely deployed to support data warehouse, BI, and decision support systems. It has been adopted at scale in finance, telecommunications, power, transportation, security, and government and Party sectors. To date, it has over 30,000 deployed nodes and manages more than 200 PB of data.
This successful compatibility confirms that the combination of GBase and KylinOS can fully leverage the compute power of mainstream international chips, addressing the weak link in the foundational layer of China's IT systems. It provides solid support for building information systems in critical industries including finance, telecommunications, power, transportation, security, and government and Party sectors.
