Recently, General Data Technology Co., Ltd. (GBASE) partnered with HX Technologies to launch a joint solution, pairing a high-end Chinese-developed server with a domestically built database. By concentrating on core technologies, it accelerates the digital and intelligent transformation of enterprise users.

Solution Overview

This solution leverages GBase 8s, GBASE's shared-storage database cluster, together with the HX-S1221, a high-end domestic server from HX Technologies.

GBase 8s is independently developed by GBASE. It meets the Level 4 security standard for databases (equivalent to the international B2 standard) and supports international database specifications and a variety of development interfaces. It supports multiple deployment patterns, including centralized, shared-storage high availability, and two-site three-center disaster recovery. Ideally suited for OLTP workloads, it powers core business systems in finance and telecommunications, as well as high-security information systems in public security, government, and defense sectors. With high capacity, high concurrency, and superior performance, GBase 8s can replace mainstream international databases in the vast majority of scenarios.

The HX-S1221 server from HX Technologies is a high-reliability, high-performance domestic server powered by the HX-C1000 chip, delivering enhanced reliability, flexibility, scalability, and powerful performance. By selecting CPUs with different processing capabilities, various memory capacities, and I/O expansion cards, it satisfies the demands of databases, virtualization, in-memory computing, and many other application scenarios. Under diverse workloads, the HX-S1221 achieves superior throughput while delivering greater cost-effectiveness through I/O expansion.

This solution fully unleashes the performance of both software and hardware. The combined disk I/O performance of the server cluster remains stably at peak levels, and under high concurrency the overall batch processing time meets target requirements, yielding the optimal concurrency number for batch execution performance. Preliminary evaluations indicate that in actual production environments batch processing efficiency can be improved by about 40%, enabling better hardware utilization, reduced IT deployment time, and higher operational efficiency for IT departments.

Equipped with the Chinese-developed HX-C1000 processor that supports up to 8 threads per core, the HX-S1221 server efficiently handles the threading demands of multiple service processes in microservice architectures. The number of services a single machine can host far exceeds that of x86 architectures.
