What I Learned from GBase 8a Database

I am very pleased to attend this GBase 8a database training and sincerely thank General Data Technology Co., Ltd. for providing this opportunity to learn about a domestic database system.

During this training, I studied the GBase 8a database systematically for the first time. The instructor not only explained theoretical knowledge but also guided us through hands-on setup, supplied installation packages for practice, and answered all our questions promptly. The course schedule was thoughtfully arranged — for working professionals like us, spending about an hour a day learning was just right. There were also after-class exercises for self-assessment and two rounds of milestone tests, which helped consolidate what we had learned. In summary, this training deserves high praise overall!

I am currently involved in a data warehouse project that has adopted the domestic database GBase 8a and will use a cluster architecture, which was one reason I joined this training. Through this program, I gained a deeper understanding of the history, current state, and technical features of domestic databases, and learned about the sharding principles and technical strengths of domestic columnar databases. Moreover, compared with Oracle and MySQL, GBase 8a is simpler to deploy and manage. With the GBase DataStudio management tool, you can conveniently manage GBase 8a through a graphical interface. It also follows SQL development standards, offering a friendly interface and consistent language norms for developers. I believe this training will greatly benefit my future work.
