World Intelligence Congress Concludes | GBASE's Voice on IT Application Innovation in SOEs and Education
"Intelligence drives the world, energy empowers the future" — on the afternoon of May 20, 2023, the closing ceremony of the 7th World Intelligence Congress was held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin). During the event, 492 units exhibited over a thousand new technologies and products, with an estimated 300,000 visits from enterprises, media, and the public — a record high. Through "broadcasting on hundreds of networks, sharing across thousands of screens, and viewing by hundreds of millions", global netizens enjoyed this high-level intellectual feast, generating a total of 935 million views.
In the latter half of the congress, GBase was deeply involved. GBase's presence could be seen in parallel forums such as the "Digital Intelligence Leads, IT Application Innovation Drives" State-Owned Enterprise Digital Transformation Forum and the "Building Distinctive Demonstration Software Schools and Cultivating IT Application Innovation Software Talents" Forum.
"Digital Intelligence Leads, IT Application Innovation Drives" SOE Digital Transformation Forum
Zhao Wei, Senior Vice President of GBase, delivers a speech
The forum featured a special roundtable discussion, where enterprises across the IT application innovation industry chain engaged in in-depth discussions on the topic of "IT Application Innovation Ecosystem Integration: Empowering SOE Digital Transformation".
Zhao Wei, Senior Vice President of GBase, attended the roundtable. Guided by moderator Yang Bo, President of Tianjin Software Industry Association and Vice President of Sugon Information Industry Co., Ltd., he engaged in in-depth discussions with business guests including Kong Jinzhu, Senior Vice President of Kylin Software Co., Ltd.; Zhang Zhiqun, Vice President of Phytium Technology Co., Ltd.; Li Junru, Vice President of Tianjin Great Wall Computer System Co., Ltd.; and Zhang Jie, head of IT application innovation business at Tianjin Zhuolang Technology Development Co., Ltd. They shared insights on the role and impact of domestic databases in supporting digital transformation of users, especially state-owned enterprises.
Zhao Wei noted that at the end of September last year, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) issued Document No. 79, providing comprehensive guidance for the IT application innovation and localization transformation of information systems in central and state-owned enterprises. The construction of IT application innovation in SOEs is moving from document and office systems to core production and manufacturing systems, shifting from comfort zones to deeper waters. IT application innovation vendors must not only "get in" by leveraging favorable policies, but also "stand firm" through core technology R&D. Beyond achieving compatible replacement of application systems, they need to match and surpass foreign products in specific niche scenarios. In response to market demands, they must set more stringent product capability and service standards, converge technology roadmaps, truly "stand up," solidify the foundation, and compete head-to-head with world-class products.
