On the afternoon of May 17, the 7th World Intelligence Congress—"Sci-Tech Innovation China" Open-Source Innovation and IT Application Innovation Industry Development Summit Forum was held at the Tianjin Grand Auditorium. GBASE, as a Tianjin-based IT application innovation enterprise and a supporting unit of the forum, attended the event. At the forum, GBASE joined forces with representatives from Tianjin's industry and academia to release the industry IT application innovation "Tianjin Blueprint," and delivered a keynote speech titled "The Innovative Practice of China's Homegrown Databases."

During the forum, GBASE, together with representatives from industry and academia including Tianjin Vocational University, Sugon Information Industry Co., Ltd., Phytium Technology Co., Ltd., Kylinsoft, Tianjin Baitai Network Technology Co., Ltd., and Cashway Fintech Co., Ltd., jointly released the industry IT application innovation "Tianjin Blueprint," showcasing Tianjin's strengths and highlights in the IT application innovation industry and contributing to the development of the "China IT Innovation Valley."
At the forum, Zhao Wei, Senior Vice President of General Data Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech titled "The Innovative Practice of China's Homegrown Databases."

Four Cutting-Edge Innovations
Zhao Wei detailed four key technological innovations of the GBase database: Intelligent O&M, which significantly reduces user development and operational costs based on leading intelligent technologies; Active-Active Architecture with Sub-Second Failover, achieving multi-active architecture with sub-second switchover through Enterprise Replication (ER); RDMA Network for Remote Direct Data Access, which uses RDMA network technology to bypass remote CPUs and directly read remote memory, addressing the challenge of synchronizing massive small files across nodes to meet high standards in complex environments; and FPGA/GPU Acceleration, with built-in FPGA/GPU acceleration for intensive computing, where the scheduling process automatically offloads intensive computing tasks to the GPU/FPGA based on keywords.
Embracing "Open Source" and Jointly Building an Ecosystem
Focusing on open-source innovation, GBASE actively embraces the open-source ecosystem and works closely with openGauss, the open-source root community for Chinese homegrown databases. In 2021, General Data Technology signed the CLA (Contribution License Agreement) and officially joined the openGauss community, becoming a community council member the following year. Actively expanding into the distributed domain, GBASE launched the industry's first distributed database based on openGauss—GBase 8c—providing secure, stable, and reliable data storage and management services for core systems in critical industries, internet business systems, and government and enterprise business systems.
