GBase included on EqualOcean Intelligence’s 2023 China Top 100 IT Application Innovation Vendors list.
Recently, EqualOcean Intelligence released the “2023 IT Application Innovation Industry Development Trends Report and Top 100,” and GBase was selected for the China Top 100 IT Application Innovation Vendors for its independent R&D capabilities, full-stack product portfolio, robust ecosystem, and outstanding performance in the IT Application Innovation market.
The report notes that since 2020, the inaugural year of the IT Application Innovation industry, China’s IT Application Innovation industry has entered a phase of accelerated growth. Led by IT Application Innovation in government and Party sectors, the IT Application Innovation industry began to boom and undergo comprehensive planning. 2023 marks the third year of the full-scale rollout of IT Application Innovation and a critical year for breakthroughs, with active markets, revenue growth, and frequent benchmark projects. “Ecosystem compatibility,” “bidding and winning,” and “product iteration” became the keywords of the industry. After three years of rapid development, the IT Application Innovation industry has officially entered a phase of deep application and deployment—moving into the stage of “real replacement and real usage.”
Database technology, as a critical foundation of information systems, holds a significant position in the IT Application Innovation industry. The development of the digital economy, rapid growth in data volume, the diversification of data structures and sources, and increasingly complex deployment environments are the core driving forces of the database industry. Under the combined influence of domestic policies and the international environment, domestic databases have flourished. Early-established domestic database vendors can now compete with international giants in terms of stability and performance. These domestic databases have been repeatedly validated in key sectors such as finance, government, and energy. Looking at replacement outcomes, the trends of cloud-native databases and data lakehouse databases have already begun to emerge in 2023.
GBase has been deeply involved in core database technology for two decades, building a product portfolio that covers major business scenarios, including: GBase 8a, a distributed logical data warehouse for data warehouse scenarios; GBase 8s, a shared-storage transaction database cluster for high-consistency business scenarios; GBase 8c, a multi-modal multi-state distributed database for high-elasticity business scenarios; the cloud data warehouse GBase GCDW introduced in recent years for DBaaS scenarios; and GBase Cloud Vector DB, a vector database for AI large model scenarios. To date, it has provided domestic replacement products and services to key sectors such as finance, telecommunications, government, energy, and transportation, with over 35,000 deployed nodes and more than 400 PB of managed data.
As one of the earliest infrastructure software companies to respond to and participate in promoting China's IT Application Innovation industry, GBase continues to deepen its efforts in this domain, focusing on building a digital IT Application Innovation ecosystem. It has completed compatibility certification with mainstream hardware and software products along the IT Application Innovation supply chain, maintains deep collaboration with ecosystem enterprises, and works with partners to create satisfying, applicable information products and services for users in various industries. It has achieved a large number of mature implementation cases in typical IT Application Innovation sectors such as finance, telecommunications, government, and transportation.
Looking ahead, GBase will continue to adhere to independent innovation and target the vast IT Application Innovation market. It will keep advancing in technical directions such as high security, high performance, high concurrency, multimodal, distributed, cloud-native, virtualization, intelligent data lakehouse, and the integration of database and AI technologies. Keeping pace with the times, it remains committed to delivering database products and services that provide “user satisfaction.”
