GBASE General Data Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to participate in the "2024 First Quarter Working Meeting of the Cloud Computing Standards Working Group's Cloud Construction and Application Special Task Group"

Recently, the 2024 First Quarter Working Meeting of the Cloud Construction and Application Special Task Group, under the National Cloud Computing Standards Working Group, was successfully held in Handan.GBASE General Data Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to attend and contributed constructive insights.

The meeting was hosted by Bank of Handan Co., Ltd., and co-organized by the Key Laboratory of Cloud Computing Standards and Applications of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Representatives from leading and deputy-leading organizations, including China Construction Bank Corporation, the China Electronics Standardization Institute, China Life Insurance Company Limited, Bank of China Limited, Agricultural Bank of China Limited, and China Telecom Cloud Technology Co., Ltd., were in attendance, along with over 100 participants from cloud computing enterprises, research institutions, universities, and organizations from the banking, insurance, securities, transportation, and industry association sectors.

At the meeting, Chen Zhifeng, Deputy Director of the Cloud Computing Research Office at the China Electronics Standardization Institute's Software Center, presented the 2024 annual work plan to the members. The group also discussed related research reports, the implementation plan for the Navigation Program, the standard adoption scheme for "Information Technology - Cloud Computing - Reference Architecture," and the research approach for "Information Technology - Cloud Computing - Intercloud Service Capability Requirements." Additionally, the special task group held a dedicated discussion on standardization needs within the cloud computing field. Finally, the group engaged in thorough discussions on subsequent work, reached a consensus, and formulated resolutions and the next steps of the work plan.

During the event, Feng Wenzhong, Technical Director of GBASE, was invited to give a keynote speech. Centered on the topic of the "SaaS Ecosystem Landscape," he shared GBASE’s recent achievements and offered constructive suggestions from an enterprise perspective on how to foster a thriving "SaaS ecosystem."

GBASE is dedicated to streamlining the full path for databases to move to the cloud, developing cloud-native database products, and collaborating with industry clients and R&D organizations to drive the establishment of cloud computing standards, the promotion of achievements, and talent cultivation. Moving forward, GBASE will further deepen the convergent innovation of "Cloud + Database," exploring the vast frontier where databases and cloud computing merge, to drive the digital transformation and upgrade of thousands of industries.

About the National Cloud Computing Standards Working Group

Established in September 2012, the National Cloud Computing Standards Working Group has its secretariat hosted by the China Electronics Standardization Institute. The working group aims to coordinate and mobilize resources from government, enterprises, universities, research institutions, users, and intermediary organizations across the industry, academia, research, and application spectrum, to advance standardization in China's cloud computing sector. It is responsible for developing and revising national and industry standards in areas such as cloud computing fundamentals, technology, products, testing and evaluation, services, and systems, and serves as the counterpart to ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 38 for international standardization work on cloud computing and distributed platforms. To date, it has organized domestic industry, academia, research, and application entities to develop and publish 38 national standards, 1 industry standard, and 18 group standards related to cloud computing.
