GBase Achieves CMMI Level 5 Certification, the Highest Rating for Software Development Maturity
Recently, GBase officially passed the highest level CMMI-DEV V2.0 Maturity Level 5 assessment and received certification, signifying that GBase has reached internationally advanced levels in software R&D, project management, and solution delivery, with its software development maturity recognized by international authorities.
CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration), developed by the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, is the world's most widely used standard for measuring software capability maturity and project management. It consists of five levels, with CMMI Level 5 being the highest—the most demanding assessment for management maturity in the international software industry, representing the ultimate recognition of an organization's standardization, normalization, and maturity in software capabilities.
Building on 20 years of database development expertise, GBase devoted nearly 22 months to completing 11 test projects, fully meeting the evaluation requirements across all 19 practice areas of Level 5 certification—covering every aspect from management to execution—and thereby successfully obtained the highest CMMI Level 5 certification.
Based on the CMMI-DEV V2.0 Level 5 model, GBase independently developed a portfolio that includes the distributed logical data warehouse GBase 8a, the shared-storage database cluster GBase 8s, the multi-model distributed database GBase 8c, the cloud data warehouse GBase GCDW, and the vector database GBase Cloud Vector DB, building a comprehensive database product and solution system that covers the full data management lifecycle and the entire technology stack.
