In ancient times, there was a tradition of planting willows during the Qingming Festival. Today, afforestation and green development have been written into law. During the 2024 “Two Sessions,” low-carbon development, ecological construction, and the digital economy became hot topics among delegates and members. In the new era, the definition of “tree” has taken on richer connotations.

Twenty years ago, GBASE sowed seeds in China’s domestic database industry. Over the past two decades, GBASE has carefully nurtured a special “tree”—the database, the foundation of information systems. Now, that tiny seed, tempered by time and watered by rain, has grown steadfastly toward the sun. Riding the east wind, it broke through the soil and its branches flourished, reaching into critical sectors like finance, telecom, energy, and transportation. Horizontally, it forms beams; vertically, it stands as pillars. With “data” as its foundation, it builds digital homes for one information system after another.

Through collaboration, the branches grow lush. Together with the entire industry ecosystem, we grow and share a common destiny. Committed to openness, inclusiveness, and win-win co-creation, GBASE has partnered with 5,000+ ecosystem partners, completed compatibility adaptation for 10,000+ software and hardware products, and 20,000+ engineers have participated in GBASE-organized certification training.

Layer upon layer of annual rings mark its vigorous growth. To date, GBASE database products and services cover 33 provincial-level administrative regions in China, span 34 countries and regions globally, with over 35,000 installation nodes and managing over 400PB of data.

A great edifice is not built from a single log. A self-reliant and controllable ecosystem forest requires every tree in the industry chain to cluster together.
