GBase's 'One Database, Multi-Chip' Audit Solution Featured in the Third Batch of Financial IT Application Innovation Excellent Solutions

Published on 2024-04-09

Recently, the Financial IT Application Innovation Ecosystem Lab officially released the“Third Batch of Financial IT Application Innovation Excellent Solutions”.GBase, following its selection in the first and second batches, has once again been selected withfour solutions, and one has been recognized as a“Lab Recommended Solution”, once again gaining recognition and affirmation from authoritative institutions and industry customers. Below, let's explore one of the third batch solutions — the GBase Database [Audit System Database 'One Database, Multi-Chip' Solution]!

Audit System Database 'One Database, Multi-Chip' Solution

This solution uses GBase Database big data clusters to carry out chip and operating system adaptation, purchases servers and network equipment, and builds hybrid clusters. The audit system performs cross-system, multi-dimensional data comparison and analysis to more comprehensively and accurately locate risk points, lock in suspicious data, and issue timely warning prompts for audit-discovered issues.

Application Scenario

The application scenarios for this audit system transformation mainly include: supporting audit operations for over 50 rural commercial banks within the province's network, 3 outside the network, and the audit department of the Provincial Rural Credit Cooperative Union.

Technical Approach

1.GBase Database + Kunpeng Chip + Kylin OS

2.GBase Database + Hygon Chip + SUSE OS

Pain Points and Challenges Solved

Ø This transformation involves mixing heterogeneous platform CPU multi-chip servers. The GBase Database supports mixing servers with different configurations, different chip platforms, and different operating systems, enabling compatible hybrid deployment of software and hardware.

Ø A multi-instance deployment method is adopted to reduce performance loss caused by cross-NUMA Node memory access while improving server resource utilization. Two computing instances are deployed on each chip server, achieving performance equivalent to Intel servers.

Ø Provides replicable experience in large-scale use of autonomous and controllable chip servers under MPP clusters, covering implementation deployment, performance optimization, and operation and maintenance management. It forms an overall innovation application platform implementation plan, server configuration and deployment recommendations, and clarifies hardware requirements such as disks and network cards.

Innovation Demonstration Effect

Through this 'One Database, Multi-Chip' exploration and practice project of the big data analysis platform and audit system GBase Database, the feasibility of IT Application Innovation practices in banking business systems has been verified, providing a model for the transformation of other application systems and information systems in other industries and enterprises.

Meanwhile, relying on the heterogeneous CPU support module provided by the GBase Database product, the entire transformation process has been made smoother and more efficient.
