Focused on Full Financial Scenarios | GBase and YSS Tech Jointly Launch Six Solutions

Published on 2024-04-29

Digital transformation in the financial sector is now entering deeper waters, where technology-driven value innovation has become the industry's main theme. Driven by the wave of IT Application Innovation in China, building a continuously evolving, secure and controllable digital foundation is a critical prerequisite for transforming traditional service and operational models and enhancing customer experience. As a vital link between capital markets and the real economy, financial asset management institutions are leveraging financial technology to advance business and management model innovation and achieve high-quality development.

To advance the construction of IT infrastructure for IT Application Innovation in the financial sector, GBase and YSS Tech, a renowned financial IT solution provider in China, jointly release a full-scenario financial IT Application Innovation solution, focusing on three key areas—custody, asset management, and innovation—and covering six major application scenarios: asset custody, valuation and accounting, unified payments, operational risk management and control, risk management and performance evaluation, and operations management.

Previously, GBase and YSS Tech formed a strategic partnership, centered on technology R&D, market expansion, product marketing, and ecosystem collaboration across all financial technology business scenarios to strengthen cooperation comprehensively.

To date, multiple GBase database products from General Data Technology have been deeply adapted and optimized with YSS Tech's core products—including asset custody systems, valuation and accounting systems, unified payment platforms, operational risk management platforms, risk management and performance evaluation systems, information disclosure systems, regulatory reporting platforms, and TA fund clearing systems—to meet the diverse scenarios and requirements for security and ease of use in the financial sector.

The six joint solutions launched through this collaboration mark an important milestone in the comprehensive expansion of cooperation in the financial sector. They will effectively help financial customers—including banks, securities firms, trust companies, and insurance asset management institutions—build a highly available, scalable, stable, and controllable data foundation and various business systems, achieving synergy between technological innovation and business growth.

Custody

Joint Solution for Asset Custody System

YSS Tech Asset Custody System ACS5.5 adopts a microservices architecture, built on YSS Tech's self-developed distributed technology platform SOFABOOT. It is divided into subsystems based on business functions, each deployed independently as a microservice, with complementary development and operation tools.

At the database layer, GBase databases are used: For rapid Oracle migration, hundreds of TB data volumes, and thousands of concurrent requests, GBase 8s is deployed. For large-scale distributed application scenarios with massive business data volumes and workloads, along with stringent requirements for high scalability, high availability, and diverse high-concurrency resilience, GBase 8c—General Data Technology's next-generation intelligent distributed database—is adopted.

Asset Management

Joint Solution for Valuation & Accounting System, Unified Payment Platform & Operational Risk Management Platform

At the application layer, the valuation and accounting system, unified payment platform, and operational risk management platform (OCP) all adopt a microservices architecture, built on YSS Tech's self-developed distributed technology platform FOMP. They are divided into subsystems based on business functions, with complementary development and operation tools. At the database layer, GBase databases offer both centralized and distributed deployment options.

Innovation

Joint Solution for Operations Management Platform

Application layer: The operations foundation platform abstracts functional support for non-financial business, enabling business implementation across different scenarios.

Database layer: GBase databases provide both centralized and distributed deployment models, based on the user's application system architecture, to meet diverse needs in financial scenarios.

Deployment layer: The entire application runs on a PaaS platform, enabling rapid horizontal scaling, with capabilities for runtime service monitoring and management, and console log collection.

Joint Solution for Financial Asset Risk and Performance System

Application layer: YSS Tech Financial Asset Risk Management and Performance Evaluation Software V4.0 adopts a B/S architecture, with a program framework built using Spring Cloud, MyBatis-Plus, etc. It is divided into different subsystems based on business functions, each deployed independently as a microservice, with supporting development and operation tools.

Database layer: GBase 8a, a distributed logical data warehouse from General Data Technology, is used. It is a distributed parallel analytical database cluster based on a Shared Nothing architecture, featuring high performance, high availability, and high scalability, providing a cost-effective general-purpose computing platform for hyperscale data management.

Value of Joint Solutions

Underlying Technology

Security

Achieves full-stack adoption of China-developed technologies across servers, operating systems, databases, and core business applications, ensuring financial information security.

Efficiency

Through joint R&D efforts, performance in complex scenarios has been improved, with measured scenario data outperforming traditional solutions.

Stability

Application stability has been verified under high concurrency, with continuous operation for 48 hours without anomalies and stable resource utilization. When some nodes of the database or application are abnormally terminated, system operation remains unaffected with zero data loss.

Flexibility and Scalability

Based on actual data volumes and concurrency, it provides the most reliable and stable solution, supporting two deployment modes: centralized deployment for low resource consumption and optimal performance; and application-distributed & data-distributed architecture, enabling rapid capacity increase by scaling out.

Upper-layer Applications

Advanced Architecture

Applications, databases, and operating systems work together to fully realize a microservices architecture.

Comprehensive Functionality

All functions from the IOE era have been seamlessly migrated, achieving full-scenario, end-to-end migration, re-engineering, and validation, with improved carrying capacity.

User-Friendly Interface

The risk and performance system provides digital dashboards, diverse chart displays, and multi-dimensional business analysis, enabling business personnel to quickly understand overall asset risk analysis and performance evaluation. The operational risk management platform offers a visualized management platform with leadership cockpits and business cockpits, helping business staff work more efficiently while enhancing operational risk management capabilities.

Data Accuracy

Based on data modeling and governance tools from the data middle platform, it provides foundational data assurance. Combined with accumulated industry analysis, rich financial indicator algorithms deliver more accurate analysis results.

Rapid Iteration

An open technical architecture, comprehensive development tools, and extensive financial sector experience enable rapid system iteration and upgrades to meet the development needs of asset management and custody.

Currently, GBase and YSS Tech have embarked on extensive and in-depth cooperation, jointly providing digital services to multiple financial benchmark customers. The launch of these solutions for the entire financial sector aims to use IT Application Innovation as a bridge to open up new scenarios, create new business forms, and accelerate the empowerment of the financial industry's stable operation and sustainable development.
