Extreme Reliability: GBase Database Powers the "Hub" of Energy Arteries for PipeChina
Recently, the domestically developed oil and gas pipeline SCADA system by PipeChina has been widely deployed across its regional subsidiaries. This marks another significant deployment of GBase database for the domestic substitution of PipeChina's SCADA system.
The oil and gas pipeline SCADA system is a large-scale, specialized integrated industrial control software and hardware system that automates production process control and scheduling. If China's over 100,000-kilometer trunk oil and gas pipelines are likened to "energy arteries," then the SCADA system is the "nerve center" that controls them. The pipeline network requires uninterrupted 24/7 operation, demanding extremely high reliability from the SCADA system. Only extreme reliability can meet real-world application demands.
GBase database has withstood the test of demanding business scenarios. Its high reliability, stability, and high concurrency provide solid support for data acquisition and monitoring at PipeChina's large control centers, achieving autonomous and controllable database operation in the oil and gas control field. This is significant for ensuring the security of critical energy resource industrial and supply chains and realizing the vision of "One National Network" for oil and gas.
Prior to this, GBase database had already been deployed in 15 business information systems covering production and management at PipeChina, supporting its enhanced self-sufficiency and digital construction.
Currently, GBase database has been deployed in over 1,000 instances at PipeChina, with nearly 1,000 instances in the SCADA system. Moving forward, GBASE will continue to focus on independent innovation, empowering the intelligent and digital construction of modern oil and gas pipeline networks, and safeguarding energy security.
